Device for use in drilling, method for drilling, and method for preparing a workpiece or an arrangement of workpieces for drilling
A device for use in drilling is adapted to be used in cooperation with a drilling unit that comprises a bush inside which a drill bit can advance and retract relative to the bush, the bush being provided with an opening from which the drill bit can protrude towards a workpiece or an arrangement of workpieces. The device includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is formed so as to fit into the opening of the bush. The second portion is formed so as to fit into a pre-drilled pilot hole in the workpiece or in at least one workpiece of the arrangement.
Portable drilling and/or boring machine
A portable drilling and/or boring machine, for workpieces, in particular workpieces that make up aeroplane structures, such as airframes, wings, cabin, etc., the machine including a jig busing for guiding a machining tool, an expansible clip for blocking the jig bushing in an opening of a screen positioned on and secured to the workpiece, the screen constituting a drilling jig, and means for moving the expansible clip in order to clamp and unclamp the jig bushing and secure the machine relative to the screen, the means for moving the expansible clip relative to the jig bushing including an electric motor, the torque and position of which are controlled.
Jig for Firearm Lower Receiver Manufacture
A machining tool assembly is provided for machining a blank to form a firearm lower receiver. The assembly includes a pair of side plates positionable on opposed sides of the blank to capture the blank therebetween. A template plate having a template aperture is adapted to be removeably attachable to the side plates. The template aperture is aligned with a top surface of the blank and is adapted for machining a cavity within the blank having a peripheral contour complimentary to a peripheral contour of the template aperture. A centering mechanism is adapted to be removeably attachable to the template plate, with the centering mechanism including an opening aligned with a corresponding void formed on the blank to align the blank with the template plate.

COLLETED BUSHING AND METHOD OF USE
A colleted bushing includes a collet and a bushing. The collet has a collet proximal end and a collet bore having collet threads. In addition, the collet has a collet bore taper located adjacent the collet proximal end, and a plurality of collet fingers located adjacent the collet proximal end and configured to be inserted into a workpiece hole of a workpiece. The bushing has a bushing proximal end, a bushing bore, a bushing outer surface, and bushing threads formed along a section of the bushing outer surface. The bushing is configured to be inserted into the collet bore and the bushing threads are configured to engage the collet threads in a manner resulting in movement of the bushing proximal end into contact with the collet bore taper causing the collet fingers to be urged radially outwardly and removably locking the collet within the workpiece hole.
COMPOSITION HOLE PATTERN TRANSFER TOOLING
A system for transferring a hole pattern from a first component to a second component configured to couple to the first component is provided including a contour plate having a drill plate with a hole pattern substantially identical to the hole pattern of the first component. The position of the drill plate is adjustable to match the hole pattern of the drill plate with the hole pattern of the first component. A slidable fixture configured to support the second component is movable to align the second component with the drill plate such that the hole pattern of the drill plate in relation to the second component matches the hole pattern of the drill plate in relation to the hole pattern of the first component. The hole pattern of the drill plate is used to create a hole pattern in the second component matching the hole pattern of the first component.

DRILL GUIDE BUSHING ASSEMBLY
A drill guide bushing assembly for use with a drill and a bit to drill a hole in an object comprises a bushing holder and a drill guide bushing. The bushing holder includes at least one upper wall, at least one lower wall, and a body connected to the at least one upper wall and the at least one lower wall. The body includes a bushing channel oriented along the axis thereof and having a hollow cylindrical shape. The drill guide bushing includes a central passage configured to receive the bit. The drill guide bushing is positioned within the bushing channel and configured to move axially therein. The drill guide bushing is coupled to the body of the bushing holder such that the drill guide bushing does not rotate within the bushing channel when the hole is being drilled.
OFFSET COLLET LOCK FOR POSITIVE FEED DRILLS AND METHODS FOR DRILLING
An offset collet lock includes an actuator, a bracket, a sleeve, and a concentric collet. The bracket is coupled to the actuator and is linearly movable along an actuation axis by the actuator. The sleeve is coupled to the bracket and is linearly movable along a drill axis by the bracket. The drill axis is perpendicular to the actuation axis. The concentric collet is coupled to the sleeve. Linear movement of the sleeve along the drill axis expands or contracts the concentric collet.
