HOLE SAW WITH EJECTOR
20230302551 · 2023-09-28 ·

A hole saw with ejector configured to eject a plug upon rotating a collar located about the cutting blade. The hole saw with ejector has an annular cutting blade with one or more slots angled with respect to a longitudinal axis. The ejector forms a sub-assembly with a plug stop located inside the cutting blade, an ejector collar located about the cutting blade, and one or more attachments through the one or more slots that connect the plug stop to the ejector collar and form a track and/or rail system whereupon rotation of the ejector collar moves the sub-assembly backward and forward to eject a sawn plug from the hole saw.

A hole saw having an internal saw with a circular sidewall including a working end including teeth and a backwall connected to the sidewall. The backwall includes an aperture concentrically located with respect to the circular sidewall for receiving a pilot drill designed to extend beyond the working end of the circular sidewall. The hole saw also has an external saw with a circular sidewall with a greater diameter than the circular sidewall of the internal saw. The circular sidewall of the external saw has teeth and an oppositely located proximal end that includes tangs separated by notches. A base plate is fastened to the circular sidewall of the external saw. The base plate includes a plurality of apertures for fixing the base plate to the backwall of the internal saw and locating the circular sidewalls concentric with respect to each other.

HOLE SAW ARBOR ASSEMBLY

A cutting tool includes a hole saw and an arbor assembly removably coupled to the hole saw. The arbor assembly includes a shank having a first end, a second end opposite the first end and configured to be coupled to a power tool, a body between the first and second ends, and an longitudinal axis extending centrally through the shank between the first and second ends. The body includes a recess. The arbor assembly also includes a sleeve supported by the shank, the sleeve including a central bore that receives the shank and a locking member positioned in the central bore, the locking member formed as a single, monolithic piece with a remainder of the sleeve, the sleeve moveable between a first position, in which the locking member engages the recess, and a second position, in which the locking member is spaced apart from the recess.

RECESS TOOL FOR FLUSH-MOUNT TRIM
20230356306 · 2023-11-09 ·

The present disclosure generally relates to a recess tool configured to cut a circular recess in drywall, thus enabling the flush mounting of a recessed light trim. The present disclosure generally describes a recess tool having a circular plate with cutting teeth and a guide. The recess tool is configured to be removably secured to a drill such that when operated, the cutting teeth of the circular plate rotate and cut a recess into drywall and stop once the recess reaches a predetermined depth. The guide is configured to be inserted into a can light opening, thereby creating the recess at the location of the recessed light. Once the recess tool cuts a recess into the drywall, a mud ring may be placed into the recess such that the trim is flush with the uncut drywall, thereby creating a flat surface to mud.
