20170001249 · 2017-01-05 · ·

A drill bit rotatable about a rotation axis is disclosed. The drill bit has a first drill bit portion configured as a cutting portion and has an annular portion connected at one end to one or more cutting elements and, at another end, a first connection device. The drill bit has a second drill bit portion configured as a drilling shank portion and has a cylindrical drill shaft, which on one end has a second connection device. The first and second connection devices in a connected state form a detachable connection, and a force transmission and torque transmission occur from the drill shaft portion to the cutting portion. The cutting portion has a third connection device, and the drill shaft portion has a fourth connection device. The third and fourth connection devices in a connected state form in an axial direction parallel to the axis a form-fitting connection.

Quick-change hole saw mandrel (10) for a hole saw (18); includes drive shank (14) extending along a central axis (C); and mounting end (16) detachable connected to mounting aperture (26) of hole saw (18) and including drive pin (30) for engagement with drive pin aperture (28) of the hole saw (18). The mandrel (10) includes a gripping arrangement (32) insertable through the mounting aperture (26) for gripping the hole saw base (20). In a normally expanded configuration the gripping arrangement (32) grips the base (20). The gripping arrangement is selectively movable to a contracted configuration in which it can be inserted into or removed from the mounting aperture (26). A pilot bit lock selector (44) for selecting between an unlocked mode permitting quick removal and quick insertion of the pilot bit (12) and a locked mode in which the pilot bit (12) is locked against removal.

QUICK CHANGE ARBOR

The present invention provides a quick change arbor, which can realize quick replacements of tools such as drill bit, hole saw and batch head on electric drills. The quick change arbor comprises an arbor main body, a pulling ring and a locking part. In the present invention, the tool is positioned and installed in an assembling position through the arbor main body, and the locking part within the first guiding groove abuts against the surface of the tool, so that the tool is tightly locked within the assembling position, thus to effectively eliminate the gaps occurred after the tool is assembled.

Tool holding arrangement, thread insert, rotatable shaft and drill unit

The present disclosure relates to a tool holding arrangement (1, 1, 1) comprising a rotatable shaft (2, 2, 2) which is at least connectable to a tool driving power source (3) and comprises a first shaft thread (4, 4). The tool holding arrangement (1, 1, 1) comprises a thread insert (5, 5) that comprises a first insert thread (6, 6), adapted to engage the first shaft thread (4, 4) so as to form a first thread arrangement (4, 6; 4, 6). The thread insert (5, 5) comprises a second insert thread (7) that is adapted to engage a tool thread (8) of a tool holding device (9) that is arranged to be 2 screwed onto the second insert thread (7) so as to form a second thread arrangement (7, 8), the first thread arrangement (4, 6; 4, 6) having a higher pitch than the second thread arrangement (7, 8).

Hole saw with hex sidewall holes

A hole saw including a plurality of sidewall openings is provided. The sidewall openings are shaped and grouped in patterns that improve debris ejection of the hole saw and that allow for easy access to the interior of the hole saw for manual debris removal by the user. The opening groups are space from each other by larger uninterrupted areas such that the hole saw has a high strength despite the number and size of openings provided in the saw sidewall.

Nested Hole Saw Set with Quick Connect Arbor and Tube Storage Case

A hole saw system includes a first hole saw, a second hole saw, and an arbor. The first hole saw is capable of being nested within the second hole saw. Each of the hole saws includes a mount wall having a first engagement feature configured to receive a first drive feature and a second engagement feature configured to receive a second drive feature that is different from the first drive feature. The arbor includes the first drive feature and the second drive feature and is configured to selectively mount each of the hole saws in a single saw arrangement and to selectively mount both of the hole saws in a nested saw arrangement. In the single saw arrangement, the arbor mounts a single one of the hole saws with the first drive feature engaged in the first engagement feature and the second drive feature not engaged with the second engagement feature. In the nested saw arrangement, the arbor mounts both of the hole saws with the first hole saw nested within the second hole saw and the first drive feature engaged in the first engagement feature of the first hole saw and the second drive feature engaged in the second engagement feature of the second hole saw.

SPRING-LOADED ARBOR FOR USE WITH A HOLE SAW

An arbor for a hole saw has a shank having an internal chamber therein, a spring situated within the internal chamber, and a plunger configured to compress the spring, when under pressure, within the internal chamber, the plunger having a drill bit receiving slot. As a user applies force to the pilot drill bit extending from the plunger, the applied pressure forces the plunger into the internal chamber, compressing the spring. Once the pressure on the pilot drill bit is released, such as when the core is freed from surrounding material, the spring extends, forcing the plunger from the internal chamber and thereby forcing the core from the surrounding material and/or hole saw. In some examples, a release mechanism may be included to control the release of the plunger from the internal chamber.

HOLE SAW WITH AN INTERNAL AUGER
20250281984 · 2025-09-11 ·

A hole saw for quickly cutting holes through workpieces without stopping to eject cut material. The device includes a cylindrical body with cutting teeth on a first end side engageable with a workpiece and a base plate on a second end side engageable with a power tool. The cylindrical body has one or more discharge slots and a removable internal auger secures to the base plate. The one or more blades of the internal auger and ejection of cut material from any of the discharge slots on the cylindrical body and/or the base plate enable cutting deep holes that are not limited by the depth of the cylindrical body. The removable internal auger allows for maintenance and sharpening for an extended use.
