Provided is a tool bracket in which a spindle body is inserted and the spindle body can be smoothly tilted. The tool bracket includes a housing including a cylinder chamber extending along a cylinder axis; a tilting body having a tilt axis configured to tilt about a tilt center, the tilting body to which a spindle body is attachable, the tilting body tiltable with respect to the cylinder axis; a rotation stopper member extending in a radial direction from the tilt axis, the rotation stopper member disposed in the tilting body; and a receiving groove extending along the cylinder axis, the receiving groove arranged in the housing.

Debris ejection techniques for drilling tools

A debris ejector for a drilling tool is disclosed. The ejector may be provided as part of a tool assembly where the ejector is coupled with bit. In an example, a tool includes a cup and a drill bit passing through an internal void of the cup. The cutting end of the bit extends out the open end of the cup at a fixed distance, while an attachment end of the bit extends out the back of the cup. The tool further includes an ejector within the cup. The ejector spins with the bit and independently of the cup. In one example, the ejector includes ramped or angled wings that eject material within the cup. In another example, the ejector includes tapered wings with straight and/or angled walls that push material out of the cup through one or more holes of the cup.

A reverse spot-facing tool for cutting a reverse spot-face in a workpiece using a reverse spot-facing cutter configured to engage a pilot shaft having a first end and a second end is disclosed. The workpiece comprises a through hole having a central axis. The reverse spot-facing tool comprises a stop configured to be located between the first end and the second end of the pilot shaft; a biasing assembly that generates a first thrust force and an equal and opposite second thrust force when the reverse spot-facing cutter is cutting the reverse spot face; and a thrust bearing configured to be positioned between the biasing assembly and the stop. When the reverse spot-facing cutter is cutting the reverse spot-face, the thrust bearing transmits the second thrust force from the biasing assembly to the stop, and the biasing assembly transmits the first thrust force to the workpiece.

System and method for drilling a hole for a countersink fastener

A drilling apparatus and method for forming a countersunk hole into a structure. The drilling apparatus may include a drill motor housing assembly, a rotor/spindle assembly, a countersink cage, and a countersink cutter. The drill motor housing assembly may have an inlet air duct, the rotor/spindle assembly may have a first duct and the countersink cage may have a second duct. The countersink cutter may have a plurality of flutes formed into a cutting end thereof. The countersink cutter may also have a third duct formed therethrough and a plurality of exit ducts common with the flutes. Each duct of the drilling apparatus may be fluidly coupled such that inlet air may be forced through the inlet air duct, through the first duct, through the second duct, through the third duct, and then through the plurality of exit ducts during drilling via the drilling apparatus.
