Installation system for ceiling mounted items
The present invention is an installation system for ceiling mounted items that is comprised of a tubular hollow extension. The first end of the tubular hollow extension is adapted to receive a suspension member and the second end is adapted to be attached to a drill bit or operated manually.
Hole saw with interchangeable cutting blades
A hole saw having a blade portion separable into two parts which when separated form a base portion and a tip portion. The base and the tip have correspondingly shaped apertures and lugs that co-operate together to hold the blade tip in place. A locking means further assists in ensuring that the blade tip remains locked to the base and includes a sliding latch that engages an aperture in the blade and the base and is itself locked in place to thereby lock the blade to the base. An intermediate portion also allows for the hole saw to drill through different depths.
VARIABLE LENGTH TOOL HOLDER
A tool holder includes a main body defining a body axis and comprising a witness hole extending perpendicular to the body axis; an extension within the main body along the body axis; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the extension along the body axis relative to the main body when the extension is visible through the witness hole. A length of the tool holder can be defined by moving the extension between various witness holes in the main body. The tool holder comprises a head configured to receive at least one tool.
DRILL BIT EXTENSION
A drill bit extension for use in, for example, tightening solar panel clamps or other situations in which a user traditionally would be required to kneel, bend, or otherwise extend to reach a bolt or other fastener to be tightened or loosened. The drill bit extension has a drill adapter end and a drill bit adapter end. A body extends between the two ends and houses a driveline. The body has a head that (or the body and head can be separate) that provides an angled extension for the drill bit adapter. Preferably the angle is 22.5 degrees, with the drill bit adapter extending at ninety degrees from the head.
Adjustable indexable drill and modular system and holder
An adjustable drill has a drill body having a face surface with a directional feature provided therewith. At least one cartridge is mounted adjacent the face surface and selectively slidable along the directional feature to provide adjustment. At least one insert is releasably affixed in an insert pocket provided in the cartridge. In further examples, the adjustable drill may have a central cutting system in combination with the adjustable cartridge type system, wherein the central cutting system may be modular. There may also be provided a modular type of holder arrangement to provide flexibility to adapt the system for various applications.
Quick-release coupling for drilling and related methods
An apparatus in the form of an adapter for forming a connection comprising a first part adapted for coupling with a second part by a quick-release coupling formed by a first projection of the first part having an at least partial dovetail shape and a recess of the second part having an at least partial dovetail shape. An opening in the recess is adapted for receiving the projection in an axial direction. In other embodiments, the adapter is: (1) frictionally enhanced for engaging an internal portion of the drilling element; (2) includes a radial projection elongated in an axial direction for engaging the internal portion of the one drilling element; and/or (3) has a cutter for scoring an internal portion of the one drilling element upon being inserted therein and rotated. An adapter is also disclosed for use with a drill check, including for creating a twist lock connection.
Soffit saw and extension
This invention provides the means for construction crews to easily drill through multiple beams or soffits with the use of a hole saw that is coupled to a first drive cup using a coupling arbor. The first drive cup is attached to a first end of an extension tube and is secured using self-tapping screws. A second drive cup is attached to a second end of the extension tube with self-tapping screws where a drive coupling arbor provides a hexagonal shank that is attached to a drive device, such as a hammer drill or standard drill. When activated the rotational motion allows the hole saw to cut through the beams or soffits. A pilot bit is provided to guide the hole saw into the beams or soffits when in use.
