PARTING-BLADE CLAMP, PARTING-BLADE AND PARTING-BLADE HOLDER
A parting-off tool assembly including a blade holder, a parting-blade and a clamp. The clamp is secured to the blade-holder via a clamp attachment portion being fastened to the blade holder's holder attachment portion. The clamp also includes a clamp portion which abuts a peripheral edge of the parting-blade to secure the parting-blade to a blade-pocket of the blade holder.
INDEXABLE DRILLING TOOL
An indexable drilling tool, includes a cutter body, an outer blade and an inner blade. The inner blade is surrounded by a first upper surface, a first lower surface and a first side surface. The first upper surface intersects with the first side surface to form multiple identical inner cutting edges. When drilling, a cutting area of the inner cutting edge as a main cutting edge is located between a central inner point and a central outer point on the inner cutting edge. In a feed direction, an inner convex cutting portion with a maximum cutting depth is arranged between the central inner point and the central outer point. Distances between the central inner point and the inner convex cutting portion and between the central outer point and the inner convex cutting portion in an axial direction are H1 and H2 respectively, which meets the following requirement: 0.9H2≤H1≤1.1H2.
SQUARE-SHAPED INSERT FOR BAR-PEELING AND INSERT-HOLDER TOOL FOR SAME
A square-shaped bar-peeling insert and insert-holder designed with pockets to hold two such square-shaped inserts. Each insert has four peripheral sub-surfaces and corners. Between each adjacent pair of corners is a cutting edge which includes a straight wiper sub-edge and two at least partially curved peeling sub-edges respectively located on opposing sides of the wiper sub-edge. The corners of the insert are inwardly disposed relative to an imaginary square formed by the sub-edges.
Cutting insert
A cutting insert includes a bottom surface, a top surface opposite to the bottom surface, and a cutting edge portion. The cutting edge portion is located on the same side as the top surface. The cutting edge portion is formed of a sintered material including cubic boron nitride particles. A volume ratio of the cubic boron nitride particles to the sintered material is more than or equal to 50 percent. The cutting edge portion includes a rake face, a flank face contiguous to the rake face, and a cutting edge located along a ridgeline between the rake face and the flank face. The rake face is inclined toward the bottom surface so that a distance from the rake face to the bottom surface decreases gradually toward the cutting edge.
Cutting insert having land with spaced apart upwardly bulging land portions and non-rotary cutting tool provided therewith
A cutting insert has a cutting portion corner formed at the intersection of a rake surface, a forward cutting portion surface and a relief surface. A cutting edge is formed at an intersection of the rake surface and the relief surface with a land that is located on the rake surface and that extends along, and negatively away from, the cutting edge. A chip-control arrangement is located at the rake surface and includes an elongated projection and plurality of spaced apart elongated protuberances that extend from the projection to the cutting edge, so that the land has a plurality of spaced apart bulging land portions. A non-rotary cutting tool has an insert holder having an insert pocket and the cutting insert releasably retained therein.
Cutting insert, drill, and method of manufacturing machined product using the same
A cutting insert may include a first surface and a second surface. The first surface may include a first side, a first corner, a second corner, and a breaker part. The breaker part may include a first segment, a second segment, and a third segment. The first segment may be an inclined surface inclined so as to approach the second surface as going away from the first side. The third segment may be an inclined surface inclined so as to separate from the second surface as going away from the second segment. In a front view of the first surface, a maximum value at a side of the second corner may be greater than a maximum value at a side of the first corner in a distance from the first side to a top portion of the third segment on an orthogonal line with respect to the first side.
INDEXABLE DRILLING INSERTS
Drilling tool systems including a drilling body and a drilling inserts are disclosed. The drilling inserts include four indexable cutting edges. The four cutting edges may each comprise a plurality of cutting edge segments. The plurality of cutting edge segments are provided at distinct angles with respect to a reference plane of the drilling insert to provide effective chip breaking and a stronger cutting edge at the drilling insert corners. Furthermore, the side surfaces of the drilling inserts allow the drilling insert to be more stably supported in a pocket of the drilling body. The drilling inserts may be used in a central pocket of a drilling body.
CUTTING INSERT HAVING LOWER ANTI-SLIP RECESS, INSERT HOLDER AND CUTTING TOOL
A cutting insert includes an insert peripheral surface that includes at least one planar major insert side abutment surface and an insert lower surface that includes an anti-slip recess recessed therein. The anti-slip recess includes at least one elongated and straight anti-slip groove. Each major insert side abutment surface is oriented parallel to a groove longitudinal axis of a respective anti-slip groove. An insert holder includes a holder pocket. The holder pocket includes a pocket peripheral surface which includes planar major pocket side abutment surface and a pocket base surface having an elongated and straight anti-slip rib. When the cutting insert is releasably attached to the insert holder, to constitute a fastened position of a cutting tool, the anti-slip rib is located in the anti-slip groove that is oriented parallel to the major insert side abutment surface that abuts the major pocket side abutment surface.
