The edge is located in a region which is located between the first corner part and the second corner part. The edge includes a first edge located at a side of the first corner part, a second edge located at a side of the second corner part, and a third edge located between the first edge and the second edge. The edge has a curvilinear shape being recessed toward the lower surface in a side view. Each of a radius of curvature R1 of the first edge and a radius of curvature R2 of the second edge is smaller than a radius of curvature R3 of the third edge in a side view.
CUBIC BORON NITRIDE CUTTING TOOL
An object is to prolong the life of a cubic boron nitride cutting tool used for cutting a heat-resistant alloy. A cubic boron nitride cutting tool includes an edge tip made of a sintered cubic boron nitride compact including cubic boron nitride particles; and a base metal that holds the edge tip at a corner portion of the base metal, wherein a cutting edge formed on the edge tip of the tool has a positive rake angle.
Tool holder for tangential cutting insert
In the case of a tool holder having a receptacle for a cutting insert, in particular a tangential cutting insert having eight lips, having a lateral bearing surface, a rear bearing surface and a bottom surface, the bottom surface is quadrangular in plan view and has a raised supporting region which has two supporting surfaces, positioned obliquely with respect to one another, for the cutting insert.
Tube deburring apparatus and methods of use
A tube deburring apparatus is disclosed and configured for deburring and beveling a terminal end of a tube. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides a deburring mechanism configured for use with a torque mechanism. The deburring mechanism provides a plurality of spaced apart bearings radially arranged about a center axis of rotation of a deburring body of the deburring mechanism and defining an imaginary receiving boundary sized for coaxially receiving the terminal end of the tube therewithin. The deburring body further provides a deburring bit positioned radially inwardly from the bearings, a deburring end of the deburring bit providing a cutting edge configured for selectively contacting the terminal end of the tube when the terminal end of the tube is coaxially positioned within the receiving boundary between the bearings.
Cubic boron nitride cutting tool
An object is to prolong the life of a cubic boron nitride cutting tool used for cutting a heat-resistant alloy. A cubic boron nitride cutting tool includes an edge tip made of a sintered cubic boron nitride compact having a thermal conductivity within the range of 20 to 70 W/m.Math.K and including cubic boron nitride particles having an average particle diameter within the range of 0.5 m to 2 m; and a base metal that holds the edge tip at a corner portion of the base metal, wherein a cutting edge formed on the edge tip of the tool has a positive rake angle.
