Chemical inhibitors of sebocyte function
The present discovery pertains to the discovery of certain amphiphilic compounds that may be useful for the management of sebum secretion in subjects with acne, oily skin, or seborrheic dermatitis. These compounds are 1-dialkylphosphorylalkanes with the longest alkyl group being seven or more carbons. Preferably, a compound is dissolved in a dermatologically acceptable vehicle, and delivered to the skin in a solution, gel, lotion, cream, or ointment. The method of application may be with the surface of the finger, or via an applicator. The decrease is sebum secretion in certain subjects may result in skin conditions that enhance cosmetic appearance and ameliorate skin disorders.
Treatment of cognitive impairment in a subject with a neurological autoimmune disease
Described herein are methods for the treatment of cognitive impairment in a subject with a neurological autoimmune disease and methods for determining whether a subject who has a central nervous system autoimmune disease is likely to acquire a cognitive impairment.

OXIDATIVE RETINAL DISEASES
Some aspects of the invention provide for a method of treating Wet and/or Dry Age-related Macular Degeneration, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Diabetic Retinopathy, cataracts, and/or Stargardt Disease using polyunsaturated fatty acids which are modified in certain positions to attenuate oxidative damage by Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and/or suppress the rate of formation of reactive products and toxic compounds.

FEED COMPOSITION FOR REDUCING AMMONIA PRODUCED IN ANIMAL AGRICULTURE AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE FEED COMPOSITION
A feed composition for ruminants may include feed particles that contain a saturated fatty acid component as well as a urease inhibitor such that ingestion of the feed by lactating ruminants may provide for an increase in the amount of milk produced by the ruminant and/or an increase in the fat content of the milk produced, and a decrease in ammonia production from breakdown of urea.
