INSERT HOLDER AND CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SAME
A cutting tool assembly includes a tool shank having a coupling opening, and an insert holder having an insert body to which an insert is coupled and detachably attached. A coupling protrusion protrudes from one surface of the insert body and is detachably coupled to the tool shank. Located on the coupling protrusion are a tapered contact portion which comes into contact with the coupling opening and provides a fixing force to fix the insert holder to the tool shank, and a contact surface at a rear end of the tapered contact portion which couples to a fastening member.
TOOL ADAPTER
Tool adapter assemblies are presented including: a quick release coupler including: a spindle defining a partial cylindrical cavity, the spindle including a base portion, a body portion, and an end portion where the body portion includes a number of ball stop recesses; a number of ball stops slidingly engaged with the number of ball stop recesses; and a sleeve slidingly coupled with the spindle, where the sleeve is configured to lock and release the ball stops; and an accessory connector including at least one of: one or more annular grooves configured to engage with number of ball stops, a number of detents configured to engage with number of ball stops; and an accessory engagement portion positioned along a proximal end of the accessory connector.
Variable length tool holder
A tool holder includes a main body defining a mounting end and a receiving end, the mounting end positioned opposite from the receiving end, the main body defining a main body bore extending into the receiving end toward the mounting end; an extension defining a tool head attached to a rod, the tool head defining a tool head end opposite from the rod, a tool holder length defined between the mounting end and the tool head end, the tool head configured to receive at least one cutting tool, the rod received within the main body bore; and a locking mechanism engaging the extension and the main body in a locked position, the locking mechanism being disengaged from either the main body or the extension in an unlocked position, the locking mechanism being selectively positionable about and between the locked position and the unlocked position.
MANDREL AND ACCESSORY FOR ROTARY TOOL
A rotary tool mandrel includes a shaft, locking projections, a collar, and a fastener. The shaft extends along a longitudinal axis and includes a distal end. The locking projections protrude radially relative to the longitudinal axis and positioned on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis from one another. Each of the locking projections define a locking projection outer profile that is rectilinear. The collar is coupled to the shaft and includes a pair of coupling projections protruding from a surface of the collar adjacent the distal end of the shaft. The coupling projections are angularly offset from the locking projections with respect to the longitudinal axis. Each of the coupling projections define a coupling projection that is rectilinear. The fastener is coupled to the shaft and movable relative to the shaft along the longitudinal axis, and movement of the fastener causes the locking projections to move toward the coupling projections.
HOLE SAW ARBOR ASSEMBLY
A cutting tool includes a hole saw, a pilot bit, and an arbor assembly. The arbor assembly includes a shank, a body, a first engagement member moveable relative to the shank, the first engagement member engaging the hole saw to releasably secure the hole saw to the shank, and a second engagement member moveable relative to the shank, the second engagement member engaging the pilot bit to releasably secure the pilot bit to the shank. The body is moveable to a first position where the hole saw and the pilot bit are secured to the arbor assembly, to a second position where the first engagement member disengages the hole saw, allowing removal of the hole saw from the shank, and to a third position where the second engagement member disengages the pilot bit, allowing removal of the pilot bit from the shank.
Tool for Double-angle Chamfering Cutter
The present disclosure relates to a tool for a double-angle chamfering cutter, including a cutter handle and a cutter body. The cutter handle is connected to one end of the cutter body via a snap-fit connection device. The cutter body is provided with chamfering blades located symmetrically on both sides of the cutter body. One end of the cutter body is provided with a sliding track perpendicular to the cutter body. A sliding track forms a cavity with the side of the cutter body. A spring is arranged inside the cavity. The bump is fixedly connected to the sliding track. A hole is provided inside the cutter handle. One side of a wall is provided with a groove channel. The cutter body enters along a hole in the cutter handle. The bump corresponding to the cavity of the cutter body falls into the groove channel.
REPLACEABLE CUTTING HEAD HAVING EXTERNAL THREAD WITH CONCAVELY CURVED ROOT AND ROTARY CUTTING TOOL
A rotary cutting tool includes a replaceable cutting head and a tool holder. The replaceable cutting head includes a forward cutting portion and a rearward mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a male coupling member that includes an external thread defined by external inner and outer cylinders. The external thread has concavely curved external thread roots which each merge with a respective straight external loaded surface at a first external root point. The first external root point is spaced apart from the external inner cylinder by a first external radial distance. The first external radial distance is greater than a third and less than two thirds of the external thread height. The tool holder includes a female coupling member that includes an internal thread. When the rotary cutting tool is in a locked position, the external thread is threadingly engaged with the internal thread.
Hole saw arbor assembly
A cutting tool includes a hole saw, a pilot bit, and an arbor assembly. The arbor assembly includes a shank, a sleeve, a first ball bearing moveable relative to the shank, the first ball bearing engaging the hole saw to releasably secure the hole saw to the shank, and a second ball bearing moveable relative to the shank, the second ball bearing engaging the pilot bit to releasably secure the pilot bit to the shank. The sleeve is moveable to a first position where the hole saw and the pilot bit are secured to the arbor assembly, to a second position where the first ball bearing disengages the hole saw, allowing removal of the hole saw from the shank, and to a third position where the second ball bearing disengages the pilot bit, allowing removal of the pilot bit from the shank.
HOLE SAW ARBOR
A hole saw arbor with mechanically automated plug removal to automatically remove the center plug of debris following drilling with the hole saw. A slidable collar is placed in an upper position on a threaded shaft to drill with the hole saw, and slid to a lower position on the threaded shaft for automated function of an ejection plate to rise within the hole saw to slowly eject a plug of removed material.
