A rotary tool may include a body having a first part, a second part, a third part, a first cutting edge located at a first end, a flute extending from the first cutting edge toward a second end, and an outer peripheral surface. The outer peripheral surface in the third part may have a first portion. The third part may have a land face, and a second cutting edge located on a ridge line where a first portion and the land face intersect. The land face may have a first region in which a width increases from a side of the first end toward a side of the second end, and a second region that is located closer to the second end than the first region in which a width decreases from a side of the first end toward the second end.

A drill includes a leading end portion. The leading end portion is flat and has at least two cutting blades extending from a rotation center toward outside in a radial direction. The each cutting blade includes an arc-shaped portion. An inside linear portion is formed in a linear shape and connects to one end of the arc-shaped portion on the rotation center side. An outside linear portion is formed in a linear shape and connects to another end of the arc-shaped portion on an opposite side to the one end. The arc-shaped portion has a cutting edge provided with an arc-shaped portion chamfered surface. The inside linear portion and the outside linear portion each has a cutting edge provided with a linear portion chamfered surface. A drill axis direction width of the arc-shaped portion chamfered surface is smaller than a drill axis direction width of the linear portion chamfered surface.

Core drill bit

A core drill bit can include a first region and a second region. The first region can include abrasive particles in a first bond matrix, and the second region can include abrasive particles in a second bond matrix. The first region is connected to the second region. A composition of the first bond matrix can be different from a composition of the second matrix. In a particular embodiment, the first bond matric can include a Co-containing material.

The negative land includes: a first region in which a space between the upper cutting edge and the lower cutting edge becomes wider toward the outer circumferential surface; and a second region which is continuous to the first region and in which the space becomes wider toward the rotation axis. In a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis, the rake face includes a return face continuous to the outer circumferential surface, the return face being recessed opposite to a rotation direction of the drill. When a first boundary represents a boundary between the outer circumferential surface and the first region and a second boundary represents a boundary between the first region and the second region, a length of the first boundary is larger than a length of the second boundary in a direction parallel to the rotation axis. The second boundary is continuous to the return face.
