DEVICE FOR OPENING CONNECTION TO LINED PIPE
A device for opening a connection to a lined pipe is disclosed. The device has a body that includes a front end and a rear end and being rotatable about a rotation axis. The device also has a drill head that has multiple cutters for puncturing and enlarging a hole in a liner, and multiple side cutters have at least one cutting edge parallel to the rotation axis. A safety ring is disposed on the body between the drill head and the side cutters. The safety ring has a circular periphery extending beyond the drill head and the side cutters in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis.

CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool comprises a tool body having a first end and a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end. The first end comprises two or more cutting portions, with each of the cutting portions comprising a cutting edge and a flank surface.
Each cutting edge extends radially outwardly from a centre region of the first end to a perimetral edge of the first end, with the cutting edge being angled relative to the longitudinal axis. Each flank surface extends circumferentially from the cutting edge.
Each of at least two of the two or more flank surfaces comprises an abrasive portion extending over at least a part of the respective flank surface and each abrasive portion comprises a plurality of abrasive features.
SAWTOOTH STRUCTURE WITH REVERSED CUTTING FUNCTION AND ITS DRILL SERIES
A kind of sawtooth structure with reversed cutting function and its drill series are specifically fitted for drilling carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). The sawtooth structure is constructed by sawteeth and grooves located on the cutting edges of drill. And the sawtooth structure is helically arranged with a large helix angle around the axis of the drill. It can be divided into left-hand sawtooth structure and right-hand sawtooth structure by the helix angle. The bottom edges of the left-hand sawtooth function as cutting edges, and the rake angles are positive, while the top edges of the right-hand sawtooth are ground as positive rake angles. The sawtooth structure can be applied into multiple drilling tools, which proves to be universal. And it can effectively reduce delamination at both hole entry and hole exit as well as burrs defects. The series of drilling tools are double point angle drill, twist drill and stepped drill with sawtooth structure on the cutting edges. And such forms of drilling tools can achieve hole drilling of CFRP with minimum drilling defects. The drilling performance of the tools is thus improved to a great extent, and the tool life is extended while maintaining low usage costs.
HOLE SAW
A hole saw blade comprises a substantially cylindrical body with a pair of sides extending substantially concentric to each other. The sides have an inner surface and an outer surface. A cutting edge extends from an end of the body. A plurality of teeth defines the cutting edge. The teeth are arranged in an alternating pattern in which a first tooth extends inwardly of a cylinder containing the inner surface a first inner distance. A second tooth is adjacent to the first tooth extends outwardly of a cylinder containing the outer surface a second outer distance. A third tooth is located adjacent the second tooth on an opposite side of the first tooth and that extends inwardly of the cylinder containing the inner surface a third inner distance greater than the first inner distance.
Bottom cutting step up reamer
A bottom cutting step up reamer incorporates a shaft having a first end with attachment features adapted to be received in a chuck. A plurality of bottom cutting edges substantially perpendicular to the shaft are located at a second end distal from the first end. At least one step up land is provided proximate the plurality of bottom cutting edges and spaced toward the first end with a plurality of parallel cutting edges substantially parallel to the shaft.
Drill cutting insert
A drill cutting insert has a cutting edge at a transition between a side surface and a top side which is formed with n identical cutting corners and n identical partial cutting edges with n{3, 4} extending between the cutting corners. Each of the n partial cutting edges has: adjoining a first cutting corner, a main lip which is straight in plan view of the top side; adjoining the other cutting corner, a secondary lip which is straight in plain view of the top side, and a transition section, via which the main lip and the secondary lip merge into one another and which has a convex section adjoining the main lip and a concave section adjoining the secondary lip. The main and secondary lips enclose on the outside an angle a <180 in plan view of the top side.
Boring tool, particularly a reamer
A boring tool includes a clamping shaft and a boring body. Between the end face of the boring body and the clamping shaft, at least one main blade extends along a longitudinal axis of the boring body and includes a blade web with a rake face facing a groove-shaped chip space, and a free surface on the outer circumferential side, these converging at a cutting edge which runs along the boring body longitudinal axis and which removes material on an inner wall of a pre-bored workpiece core bore hole as a result of said boring tool being rotated. The main blade extending along the longitudinal axis of the boring body transitions at the end face, of the boring body into a groove blade that is aligned transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boring body. This groove blade allows the boring tool to be displaced, prior to removing the material by rotation, into the core bore hole in an axial lifting motion such that a groove is formed which extends along the longitudinal axis of the core bore hole, the main blade of the boring tool engaging in this groove.
