A positive feed tool may include a motor, a power supply operably coupled to the motor to power the motor, a gear head and a spindle. The gear head may be operably coupled to the motor to be operated responsive to powering of the motor. The gear head may include a drive assembly and a feed assembly. The spindle may be operably coupled to the gear head to enable the spindle to be selectively driven rotationally and fed axially based on operation of the drive assembly and the feed assembly, respectively. The feed assembly may include an electronically controlled variable feed rate oscillator.
Collet adaptor
A collet adaptor (10) including a body (11, 12) having forward and rear ends and an axial bore (17) extending through the forward and rear ends. A drawbar (13) disposed at least partly within the bore (17) for connection to a collet (14). The drawbar (13) is secured within the bore (17) and a biasing arrangement (42) acts on the drawbar (13) in a direction tending to shift the drawbar (13) rearwardly within the bore (17). The drawbar (13) is displaceable within the bore (17) against the biasing influence of the biasing arrangement (42) to shift forwardly within the bore (17).

An air control device includes an air suction port, air discharge ports, and an air control system. The air suction port takes in air. The air discharge ports discharge the taken-in air. The air control system discharges the air through the air discharge ports alternately for respective preset times. An air control method includes: taking in air; and discharging the air alternately through air discharge ports for respective preset times.
Coupling systems and methods of use thereof
The present disclosure provides coupling systems for use in industrial systems to removably couple one or more components to the industrial system. The coupling systems discussed herein employ a flexible sleeve in addition to one or more components. The flexible sleeve can have a component disposed therein. When pressure is applied to the flexible sleeve, the flexible sleeve constricts around the component, securing the component in the coupling system and thus to the industrial system. Once the component is secured, the industrial system executes one or more processes on the component. The coupling systems discussed herein can accommodate components of varying internal and external geometries as well as internal and/or external coatings and surface finishes.
Electrospindle with integrated feed with automatic tool holder change
A machining spindle that includes a tool-holder shaft (2), a first actuator connected to a coupling member (11) slidably connected to a first section (21) of the shaft to rotate the shaft, a second actuator connected to a nut helically connected to a second section (22) of the shaft to move the shaft axially and a control rod (24) of a tool-holder attachment system connected to the second section by a full connection. The spindle includes a locking arrangement (40) mounted movable between the first and second sections by a switchover arrangement (50), between a first position in which the first and second sections are in full connection and a second position allowing axial movement of the second section relative to the first section, enabling the control rod to be moved axially under the action of the second actuator to control the attachment system in a released position of the tool holder.
Hybrid Hose For Transmission of Fluid, Electrical Power and Data Communication
A hybrid hose assembly capable of transmitting fluid, electrical power, and data communications through a single hose assembly is disclosed. By providing the transmission of fluid power, electrical power, and bidirectional communication between the source and destination units connected thereto, the hybrid hose of the present invention can enhance functional capabilities of fluid-powered equipment used in harsh environments, such as subsea operations, aviation, and trenchless applications. A hybrid hose assembly embodying features of the present invention may comprise a hybrid hose having a fluid tube surrounded by at least two conductive metallic braided layers adapted to transmit electrical power and data communications, an electro-fluid hose fitting coupled to the hybrid hose, and an overmold encapsulating at least a portion of the electro-fluid hose fitting.
UTILITIES SUPPLY APPARATUS FOR TOOL HOLDER OF MACHINE TOOL
Utilities supplied through a first utility path of a turning tool holder via a docking device is supplied to a second utility path of an adjacent rotating tool holder through a communication means, there is no need to provide a complex hydraulic line, a pneumatic line and a coupler for receiving the utilities from the docking device at a rearward side of the rotating tool holder. A rearward size of the rotating tool holder may be minimized, so that even when the rotating tool holder is mounted on the turret, no interference occurs with the docking device in the rearward direction when the turret rotates. As a result, it is possible to use the rotating tool holder, to which utilities supply is necessary, even in the turret which is provide with the docking device.

A tool holder (100) comprising: an outside section (10) connected and fixed to a main shaft housing; a rotation input section (20) that is gripped by the main shaft and caused to rotate at a first rotation speed r1; a rotation output section (40) that has the rotational force from the rotation input section (20) transmitted thereto and rotates at a second rotation speed r2 that is different from the first rotation speed r1; a slider (60) that is moved in a first direction that intersects the rotational axis (Os) of the main shaft, as a result of the force from the rotation output section (40); a cutting edge (70) that is moved in the first direction by the slider (60) and is rotated by the rotation input section (20); and a detection mechanism (90) for detecting that the cutting edge (70) is at the origin position.
