A method for providing a dismantling groove in an element for a product to be assembled by a plurality of elements locked by a locking arrangement including a flexible tongue is disclosed. The method includes providing an insertion groove and a dismantling groove in the same element. The dismantling groove extends along the element between a first side and a second side and is configured for receiving the flexible tongue of the locking arrangement for locking the element to another element having a tongue groove. The dismantling groove is provided in the element such that it extends from the first side to the insertion groove and along a portion of the insertion groove, and is configured to receive a dismantling tool for dismantling the element from the other element. An element with an insertion groove and a dismantling groove is also disclosed.

Slot machining

A method for cutting a blade root retention slot in a turbine engine disk element includes forming a precursor slot in the element. The precursor slot has first and second sidewalls and a base. A rotating bit is passed through the precursor slot to machine the base. The bit rotates about an axis off-normal to a direction of passing. A cutting performance of the rotating bit is modeled reflecting a chip trapping intensity parameter and a heat intensity parameter. At least one parameter of the bit and its passing is selected so as to avoid tool loading where removed chips/swarf stick onto the bit.

A wood-style golf club head includes a strike face and a body that cooperate to define a hollow internal club head volume. The strike face formed from a strike plate having an outer perimeter and a frame surrounding the strike plate. The strike plate is affixed to the frame across the entire outer perimeter. The strike plate and frame define a continuous ball striking surface that has a surface texture characteristic of milling that extends continuously across both the strike plate and the frame.

The spindle head is moveable in a first direction extending between the first and second mounts, a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions, and rotatable about an axis.
