Agent for the selective adjustment of blood lipids
The invention relates to the medicine, namely to an agent for reducing the cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood plasma. The agent claimed comprises a nanocomposite that is a carbon-containing nanoparticles coated with the organic alkyl functional groups representing the residuals —C.sub.4H.sub.9, —C.sub.6H.sub.11, —C.sub.8H.sub.15, —C.sub.10H.sub.21, —C.sub.16H.sub.33, —C.sub.18H.sub.35. These groups are deposited by the covalent modification using diazonium salts of the general formula XC.sub.6H.sub.4N.sub.2.sup.+Y.sup.−, where X is the alkyl residual —C.sub.4H.sub.9, —C.sub.6H.sub.11, —C.sub.8H.sub.15, —C.sub.10H.sub.21, —C.sub.16H.sub.33, or C.sub.18H.sub.35, Y is the anion HSO.sub.4.sup.−, Cl.sup.−, BF.sub.4.sup.− or TsO.sup.−. The invention provides an effective reduction of cholesterol and triglyceride presented in the blood plasma.
ORAL ADSORBENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORAL ADSORBENT
Activated carbon (for example medicinal carbon), which has long been used for adsorbing and removing harmful substances from the digestive system, has the drawback of causing constipation, and the production of a spherical adsorbent carbon that is believed to overcome this drawback from a petroleum-based hydrocarbon requires a complicated production process. These issues can be addressed by an oral adsorbent, a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for kidney disease, and a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for liver disease, containing a fibrous carbonaceous substance obtained by carbonizing cotton fiber. The issues can also be addressed by an oral adsorbent, a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for kidney disease, and a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for liver disease, containing a fibrous carbonaceous substance having a twisted hollow ribbon-like structure.

Halogenated Fullerene Functionalized as a Biocidal and Chemotactic Spermicide to Vaginally Harbor and Neutralize Spermatozoa for Use as a Safe and Effective Contraceptive
The present invention provides the methods and composition useful as a contraceptive by preventing motile sperm from reaching a mature ovum, thereby blocking fertilization and preventing pregnancy. The contraceptive is comprised of halogen functionalized fullerene nanoparticles (halo fullerenes) and chemotactic stimulants that act synergistically to divert, incapacitate and ultimately rupture spermatozoa to avert fertilization. When applied vaginally prior to coitus, the suspension is activated by exposure to spermatozoa upon insemination. Notably, non-spermatozoa cells are unaffected by the pH-neutral suspension; however, closer to the same scale, microbes are susceptible to its inherent biocidal properties. Following application and coitus, the contraceptive evacuates naturally, along with seminal and vaginal fluids thereafter.

LASER ENHANCER COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVING MELASMA, WRINKLES, SKIN TIGHTENING, PORES, AND ACNE
Proposed is a laser enhancer composition for improving melasma, wrinkles, skin tightening, pores, and acne by removing dead skin cells on an epidermal layer of the skin. The laser enhancer composition is used in a form applied to the epidermal layer during the treatment. The laser enhancer composition includes: either one or both of a peeling material and a heat conducting material that are configured not to be vaporized by a laser so that fumes are not generated; a viscous material configured to mix the peeling material 11a and the heat conducting material due to viscosity thereof; a volatile alcohol; and purified distilled water.
