MICROORGANISMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING (3R)-HYDROXYBUTYL (3R)-HYDROXYBUTYRATE
Provided herein are non-naturally occurring microbial organisms having a pathway for production of (3R)-hydroxybutyl (3R)-hydroxybutyrate, wherein the organism can further include a (R)-1,3-butanediol pathway, a (3R)-hydroxybutyrate pathway, a (3R)-hydroxybutyryl-CoA pathway, an acetoacetate pathway, an acetoacetyl-CoA pathway, a (3R)-hydroxybutyl-ACP pathway, or an acetoacetyl-ACP pathway. Additionally provided are methods and processes for producing and isolating (3R)-hydroxybutyl (3R)-hydroxybutyrate using the microbial organisms, and various compositions having the (3R)-hydroxybutyl (3R)-hydroxybutyrate. Still further provided are methods of treating or preventing a disease, disorder or condition using the (3R)-hydroxybutyl (3R)-hydroxybutyrate produced by the microbial organisms of the invention.

DRUGS (VARIANTS) AND METHODS FOR RESTORING MICROFLORA
The invention relates to microbiology and medicine and can be used to prevent and treat diseases and conditions associated with disruption of normal (autochthonous) microflora (microbiota) in humans or animals. In particular, a solution for recovery or creation of the subject's microflora comprising an active component containing microorganisms isolated from the microflora of the subject or the donor, wherein the active component can be enriched with bacteriophages of said microflora and/or additional microorganisms of the microflora cultivated on a nutrient medium, while the additional microorganisms of the microflora include microorganisms of the microflora that are yet nonculturable in the absence of the host organism, is proposed. Also provided are a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising the above solution and methods for prevention or treatment of diseases and/or conditions associated with and/or accompanied by a disorder or lack of the subject's own microflora, comprising administering the solution or pharmaceutical dosage form.

FEED ADDITIVE COMPOSITION
A method for improving the performance of a subject or for improving digestibility of a raw material in a feed (e.g. nutrient digestibility, such as amino acid digestibility), or for improving nitrogen retention, or for improving dietary phosphorus absorption and retention, or for improving the efficacy of the phytase, or for improving the subject's resistance to necrotic enteritis or for improving feed conversion ratio (FCR) or for improving weight gain in a subject or for improving feed efficiency in a subject or for modulating (e.g. improving) the immune response of the subject or for reducing populations of pathogenic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract of a subject, or for reducing nutrient excretion in manure, which method comprising administering to a subject at least one direct fed microbial in combination with a phytase, wherein the phytase is administered to the subject at a dosage of more than about 1500 FTU/kg feed.
