Treatment Methodology for the Prevention and Control of Viral Infections
A treatment methodology for the prevention and control of viral infections by administering an anti-viral composition having organotrophic archaea microorganisms, a carrier substance and an activating liquid, characterized in that the archaea microorganisms, when present in human or animal, weaken or destroy a virus upon contact. The anti-viral composition is administered either intraorally or intranasally.

Drugs (variants) and methods for restoring microflora
The invention relates to microbiology and medicine and can be used to prevent and treat diseases and conditions associated with disruption of normal (autochthonous) microflora (microbiota) in humans or animals. In particular, a solution for recovery or creation of the subject's microflora comprising an active component containing microorganisms isolated from the microflora of the subject or the donor, wherein the active component can be enriched with bacteriophages of said microflora and/or additional microorganisms of the microflora cultivated on a nutrient medium, while the additional microorganisms of the microflora include microorganisms of the microflora that are yet nonculturable in the absence of the host organism, is proposed. Also provided are a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising the above solution and methods for prevention or treatment of diseases and/or conditions associated with and/or accompanied by a disorder or lack of the subject's own microflora, comprising administering the solution or pharmaceutical dosage form.

METHOD FOR PREPARING COMPOSITION COMPRISING KILLED OR INACTIVATED METHANOBREVIBACTER ARCHAEBACTERIA CELLS AND COMPOSITION THEREBY OBTAINED
The invention relates to a process for preparing a composition comprising inactivated or killed Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cells for incorporation in human food/tablets and/or animal feed/ tablets, the process comprising: a) collecting a liquid suspension of Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cells; b) inactivating or killing said Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cells in said liquid suspension; and c) freeze drying said liquid suspension to obtain an inactivated or killed Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cell composition, said inactivated of killed Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cells have preserved at least 80% of the microbe-associated-molecular-patterns (MAM PS) signal potential through the host pattern recognition receptor system. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a composition obtained according to said process, wherein the composition comprises at least 10.sup.8 inactivated or killed Methanobrevibacter archaebacteria cells per gram of said composition, for use in method for improving the resistance to intestinal pathogen infection and/or for reducing intestinal inflammation in a subject.

Nutritional composition for treating or preventing impaired mobility
A method of treating or preventing impaired mobility in an older adult includes administering to the older adult an effective amount of a composition containing at least one ingredient for cognitive ability, at least one ingredient for muscle and/or bone quality, and at least one ingredient for joint quality and/or functionality. The older adult can be an elderly individual and/or can have a condition that is one or more of frailty, pre-frailty, sarcopenia, recovering from sarcopenia, malnutrition, at risk of malnutrition, undergoing rehabilitation, and being scheduled to undergo rehabilitation, disorders impacting mobility such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, pre-osteoarthritis, osteopenia, cognitive decline. In a non-limiting example of the composition, the at least one ingredient for muscle and/or bone quality and the at least one ingredient for joint quality include a protein source, omega-3 fatty acids, and a polyphenol.

MICROBIOLOGICAL PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BEE BREAD
The present invention relates to a biotechnological process for the production of a fermented pollen comprising the inoculation of pollen with at least one lactic bacterium of the species Lactobacillus kunkeei selected from Lactobacillus kunkeei PF12 (DSM 32843), PF13 (DSM 32845) and/or PL 13 (DSM 32844) and the fermentation of the pollen inoculated with said lactic bacterium. The fermented pollen obtained has nutritional and organoleptic properties similar to bee bread naturally produced inside the honeycomb of the beehive and finds application in the food and nutraceutical field. The invention further encompasses Lactobacillus kunkeei PF12 (DSM 32843), PF13 (DSM 32845) and/or PL 13 (DSM 32844) as such and compositions comprising these strains.
