A compound fillet radii cutter may have a shaft having a cylindrical member, frustoconical cutting surface, a small radius cutting surface having an arc length of a first circle, and a large radius cutting surface having an arc length of a second circle. The frustoconical cutting surface may be disposed between the cylindrical member and the small radius cutting surface. The small radius cutting surface may be disposed between the frustoconical cutting surface and the large radius cutting surface, and a juncture of the large radius cutting surface and the small radius cutting surface may form a tangential union. In this manner, a single cutter may cut radii of various sizes or cut compound radii.

Connector inserts and other structures that have a high signal integrity and low insertion loss, are reliable, and are readily manufactured. One example may provide a connector insert formed primarily using a printed circuit board. Contacts on the connector insert may be akin to contacts on a printed circuit board and they may connect to traces having matched impedances on the printed circuit board in order to improve signal integrity and reduce insertion loss. The printed circuit board may be manufactured in a manner for increased reliability. Plating, solder block, and other manufacturing steps that are native to printed circuit board manufacturing may be employed to improve manufacturability. Specialized tools that may provide a chamfered edge on the connector inserts may be employed.

ROTARY CUTTING TOOL

A rotatable cutting tool includes an elongate body having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end and a distal end and at least one helical flute extending over a length of the elongate body, the helical flute having a first end and a second end. The flute includes a cutting-edge with a first radius from a longitudinal center of the cutting tool, a trailing edge with a second radius from a longitudinal center of the cutting tool, wherein the second radius is smaller than the first radius, a flute surface between the cutting-edge and the trailing edge, the flute surface including a maximum radius at the cutting-edge and a plurality of foam chip shedding exclusions spaced along the cutting-edge of the helical flute, each of the foam chip shedding exclusions providing a gap in the cutting-edge where the radius within the gap is smaller than the first radius.

Milling burr

A milling burr for use in handheld machines has a shank and a cutting member of hard metal which is rigidly connected to said shank. The cutting member is provided with cutting teeth which extend in a first direction of twist. The cutting teeth are divided in cutting tooth portions by rows of tooth dividers extending in a second direction of twist. The cutting tooth portions and the tooth dividers are arranged one behind the other when seen in the peripheral direction in such a way that an overlap occurs in an in each case alternating manner when seen in the peripheral direction.

Milling Inserts

Milling tools configured to increase surface roughness are disclosed. The tool may include an elongated body having a longitudinal axis and a plurality of cutting inserts coupled to the body and spaced along the longitudinal axis, each cutting insert having a cutting edge. In one embodiment, the cutting edges may have an orientation that is oblique to the longitudinal axis of the elongated body. Each cutting edge may have a first end having a greater cutting radius than a second end. The cutting edges may be offset from the longitudinal axis of the elongated body by an offset angle. In another embodiment, the cutting edges may have a textured or rough surface profile. For example, the cutting edges may have a mean roughness (Rz) of at least 7.5 m. The milling tools may increase the surface roughness of a milled engine bore to facilitate a subsequent rough honing process.

SURGICAL BUR WITH A HEAD HAVING PLURAL FLUTES, THE FLUTES SHAPED SO THAT, AT THE EQUATOR, THE HEAD HAS A SHAPE THAT IS NOT CIRCULAR

A bur with features that minimize the application of substantially identical forces to the tissue against which the bur is applied. One of these features is the arrangement of the flutes so that one pair of flutes projects outwardly from the tip at an acute angle that is greater than the angle at which the other flutes project outwardly from tip. Consequently at the equator of the bur head, the location along the bur head where the bur head has a maximum diameter, the flutes define a perimeter that is non-circular in shape.

Milling cutter with a cord of a special tooth profile

A milling cutter with at least one peripheral cutting edge 4 disposed on its periphery, the peripheral cutting edge 4 being configured as a profile of spaced-apart teeth 7 that forms a so-called cord; wherein each of the teeth 7looking from the flute in a direction opposite to the cutting direction onto the cutting edge portionforms a cutting edge portion SK composed of several different radii, i.e. of at least one larger radius R1 forming the predominant part of the cutting edge portion of the respective tooth 7 and a smaller radius R2, which is preferably immediately adjacent thereto on both sides.
