In a circular cutting insert of the present invention, the upper side surface and the lower side surface each include: a plurality of planar restraining faces which are disposed sequentially in a circumferential direction of the upper side surface and the lower side surface so as to interpose a joint portion between each of the planar restraining faces and each have a side disposed on the side surface-intermediate line (N); and a plurality of antivibration restraining faces which are each disposed between two planar restraining faces adjacent through the joint portion and each include an inclined face, and the restraining faces of the lower side surface are disposed so as to be shifted with respect to the restraining faces of the upper side surface by a predetermined angle () around a central axis of a screw insertion hole.
T-SLOT CUTTER
A T-slot cutter (1) is a tool for cutting a T-groove in a workpiece, and includes a body (2A) and an insert portion (3). The insert portion (3) is fixed to a leading end portion of the body (2A) using screws (8). The insert portion (3) is configured by overlaying inserts (4) and (5). By changing a combination of the inserts configuring the insert portion (3), a groove width and an angular shape of the T-groove cut in the workpiece can be easily adjusted. On mating faces of the inserts (4, 5), convex portions and concave portions of the mating face of the insert (4) overlap with concave portions and convex portions of the mating face of the insert (5). As a result, the inserts (4, 5) partially overlap with each other in a thickness direction, and thus a protrusion length of the insert portion (3) can be shortened.
Machining device and machining method
The present invention achieves a machining apparatus which can easily be composed and a machining method which can perform gear machining or splined shaft machining easily by using an existing lathe. More specifically, the invention achieves a machining apparatus 1 comprising: a cutter 11 which includes a blade part 20 formed in the shape of a ring around a peripheral surface thereof and which is driven to rotate about an axis thereof; a workpiece holder 13 which holds a workpiece W rotatably; and a cutter driver 12 which moves the cutter 11 and the workpiece W relative to each other along an axial direction, wherein a gear or a splined shaft is formed on the peripheral surface of the workpiece W by synchronizing the rotation of the workpiece W with the relative movement of the cutter 11 and the workpiece W and by rotating the cutter 11, and wherein a plurality of the blade parts 20 are disposed side by side along the axis, the cutter driver 12 drives the cutter 11 to rotate in one direction around the axis and to reciprocate relative to the workpiece W along the axis, the workpiece holder 13 rotates the workpiece W in a forward/reverse direction in accordance with reciprocation of the cutter 11, and cutting is performed on the workpiece W so as to form thereon an external shape of a gear or a splined shaft by placing each of the blade parts 20 of the cutter 11 in contact with the peripheral surface of the workpiece W.

VERTICALLY-MOUNTED MILLING CUTTER INSERT AND MULTITOOTH MILLING CUTTER
The present invention discloses a vertically-mounted milling cutter insert and a multitooth milling cutter, wherein the vertically-mounted milling cutter insert comprises a insert base and a cutter tip unit, the insert base is set with a mounting hole for mounting the vertically-mounted milling cutter insert onto the milling cutter wheel, and the cutter tip unit is mounted on the insert base, and the cutter tip unit has a double-cutter tip structure. In the invention, the vertically-mounted milling cutter insert is positioned via the fitting between a bent-plane structure in the vertically-mounted milling cutter insert and a positioning structure in the milling cutter wheel, and the bent-plane structure will not be abraded in use. Because the bent-plane structure will not be abraded, reliable positioning may be guaranteed when two cutter tips are used.
MACHINING DEVICE AND MACHINING METHOD

Rotary Cutting Tool Having Axial Position Adjustment Arrangement
A rotary cutting tool includes a tool holder and a tool body releasably attached thereto. The tool body has a cutting portion that includes a peripheral insert pocket, for retaining a cutting insert. The tool holder includes an adjustment arrangement that includes a biasing member, movably attached to the tool holder, having a biasing portion. The cutting portion is adjustable between a non-flexed position and a flexed position. In the flexed position, the cutting portion is elastically deformed in a forward direction due to biasing engagement with the biasing portion, thereby adjusting the axial position of the insert pocket and thus the cutting insert.
Milling tool
The invention relates to a milling tool for gear milling. The tool body is equipped with tangentially mounted milling inserts having four cutting edges and two holes, only one of which is utilized for a fixing screw in two of totally four index positions. By locating a screw hole in the seat of the milling insert at a distance from the radial support surface of the seat that is greater than the distance between an individual hole and a distal end of the milling insert, a clamping force is provided by means of the inherent elasticity of the fixing screw. In such a way, the milling insert is pressed against the radial support surface. By means of a transversal eccentricity, the milling insert is also pressed against a tangential support surface in the seat. By means of this construction, the two holes in differently long milling inserts can be formed with equally large distances from distal ends. Thereby, one and the same tool body can be equipped with differently long milling inserts.
