Cannabinoid Compositions and Methods for Treating Joint Pain and Inflammation
Provided are compositions comprising a cannabinoid and collagen, and methods of making and using such compositions. The disclosed compositions can be useful in, for example, treating joint pain and inflammation (e.g., joint pain associated with arthritis).
MICELLES AND VESICLES FOR THE DELIVERY OF GLYCOPEPTIDES
Methods for quality control and optimizing the formation and characterization of micelles, vesicles or other aggregates are described herein. Pharmaceutically relevant peptides may be modified to form glycopeptide surfactants which form micelles or other aggregates with another surfactant. Glycopeptide and glycolipid surfactants can aggregate to form particles that enhance drug delivery. The glycopeptide surfactants may be drugs or pro-drugs which are delivered via the micelles or other aggregated structures.
Leucine/Peptide Composition and Method of Formulation
Disclosed is a method for providing amino acids in a form having improved solubility and/or improved suspension properties, and a product made by the method. The method also provides protein and amino acid compositions having decreased viscosity following heat treatment. Co-processing at least one micronized hydrophobic amino acid, such as, for example, leucine, isoleucine, valine, arginine, tryptophan, or combinations thereof, with at least one protein by admixing the at least one amino acid with the at least one protein, suspending them in suspension, and then co-drying them, produces a composition that provides the amino acid and protein in a more soluble, less viscous form while still retaining the benefits of free amino acid in the composition.
Methods for decreasing the incidence of necrotizing enterocolitis in infants, toddlers, or children using human milk oligosaccharides
Disclosed are methods of reducing the incidence of necrotizing enterocolitis in an infant, toddler, or child using nutritional compositions including human milk oligosaccharides. The nutritional compositions including the human milk oligosaccharides are effective in reducing inflammation and the incidence of inflammatory diseases.
Peptides and compositions for treatment of joint damage
The present invention provides new protease-resistant polypeptides, as well as compositions and methods for treating, ameliorating or preventing conditions related to joint damage, including acute joint injury and arthritis.
Hyaluronic acid production promoting agent
An agent of the present invention comprising poultry feet or a processed product thereof, preferably a hydrolysate of an extract of poultry feet, promotes hyaluronic acid production, thereby exhibiting excellent effects of preventing or treating a joint disorder, improving skin dryness, wrinkles or skin tension, moisturizing the skin, etc. The agent is thus useful as a medicament, a quasi-drug, a cosmetic product, a food product or an animal feed.
GROWTH PROMOTING PEPTIDES, AND USES THEREOF
A natural peptide comprising a cellular growth promoting fragment of a protein selected from SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 13, and a composition comprising a plurality of growth promoting peptides, is described. Also disclosed is the use of the peptides and compositions in prevention of ageing of human skin, treatment of diseases or conditions characterised by damaged epithelial cells or tissue such as colon cancer and peripheral inflammatory disorders, and wound treatment. Specific pea and rice protein derived peptides are described in SEQ ID NOs: 15 to 505, and 546 to 704.

NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING HYDROLYZED PROTEIN AND A MODIFIED FAT SYSTEM AND USES THEREOF
Disclosed embodiments provide nutritional compositions and methods of enhancing maturation of an infant's brain. The methods include the step of administering to the infant a nutritional composition comprising a protein with a degree of hydrolysis of 10% to 75% in combination with at least one of a monoglyceride, a free fatty acid, a salt of a free fatty acid, a phospholipid, and cholesterol.
METHOD OF FABRICATING AN ELECTRONIC POWER MODULE BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING, AND ASSOCIATED SUBSTRATE AND MODULE
A method of fabricating an electronic power module by additive manufacturing, the electronic module including a substrate having an electrically insulating plate presenting opposite first and second faces, with a first metal layer arranged directly on the first face of the insulating plate, and a second metal layer arranged directly on the second face of the insulating plate. At least one of the metal layers is made by a step of depositing a thin layer of copper and a step of annealing the metal layer, and the method further includes a step of forming at least one thermomechanical transition layer on at least one of the first and second metal layers, the at least one thermomechanical transition layer including a material presenting a coefficient of thermal expansion that is less than that of the metal of the metal layer.
