TRIGGER LOCK FOR A MITER SAW
A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a motor for driving a saw blade about a rotational axis, a handle, a trigger coupled to the handle and moveable between a first position in which the motor is deactivated, and a second position in which the motor is activated to drive the saw blade, and a trigger lock pivotably coupled to the trigger for movement therewith to prevent movement of the trigger from the first position to the second position.
TABLE CUTTING MACHINE
A cutting machine can include a cutting machine body that is movably supported above a table and capable of vertical movement, the cutting machine body can be positioned at an upward waiting position and a lower end position. The cutting machine body can include an auxiliary cover positioned around a portion of a blade and including a projection. When in the upward waiting position the auxiliary cover is not able to move upward because of the position of the projection, and in the lower end position the auxiliary cover is able to move upward.
Tabletop cutting device
Two 18V-type rechargeable batteries are attached in series so as to allow a 36V-type tabletop cutting device to be utilized. By utilizing the 18V batteries which are highly prevalent for electric tools, it is possible to use the 36V-type tabletop cutting device as well as to reduce costs for the batteries.
Multifunctional saw apparatus and method
In some examples, an apparatus includes a base including an arm selectively movable with respect to the base. The arm is selectively rotatable about a first arm axis. A base plate is engaged with the arm. A tool is configured to be detachably coupled to the base plate. The tool is movable with the base plate when coupled to the base plate. The apparatus includes a first mode with the tool coupled to the base plate and the arm being selectively rotatable about the first arm axis, a second mode with the tool coupled to the base plate and the arm being constrained from rotating about the first arm axis, the arm being substantially stationary with respect to the base; and a third mode with the tool detached from the base plate.
Flange Bolt Cutter
A flange bolt cutter for separating two connected flanges. The flange bolt cutter contains a circular saw blade connected to an flange mount which can be vertically adjusted relative to the flange mount and/or includes two arms which can be pivotally adjusted relative to each other.
Saw
A saw for performing chop cuts has a base, a cutting unit, and a pivot joint pivotally mounting the cutting unit to the base to enable the cutting unit to pivot towards or away from the base to perform chop cuts. The pivot joint has a cup-shaped section having an open end, a cap rotatably mounted on the open end of the cup-shaped section to form a sealed enclosed space within the cup-shaped section and cap, and a spring located inside of the sealed enclosed space. The spring is connected between the cup-shaped section and the cap. The spring applies a rotational biasing force between the cup-shaped section and the cap to urge relative rotation movement between the two.
Desk-top cutting machine
A desk-top cutting machine including: a base configured to support a workpiece; a cutting part including, a motor configured to rotary drive a cutting tool, a main cover covering an upper portion of the cutting tool, and a protective cover covering a portion of the cutting tool that is not covered by the main cover, the protective cover configured to move in a direction of exposing the cutting tool when the cutting part swings toward a bottom dead point from a top dead point; and a cutting part support mechanism configured to swingably support the cutting part, characterized in that: the motor is configured to be rotated at a first rotational speed slower than a maximum rotational speed thereof when the cutting part is positioned at the top dead point.
Apparatus for transverse cutting of a continuously moving web and a method therefore
An apparatus for transverse cutting of a web has a frame straddling the web path, a side frame on each side of the web path and an upper frame between the two side frames, a circular saw blade suspended in a pendulum arm pivotably connected to the upper frame, a swinging drive for controlling the swinging movement of the saw blade, wherein the pendulum arm is pivotably mounted in a vertically movable sub-frame of the upper frame, and the vertical movement of the sub-frame relative to the upper frame is managed by a lifting drive that is coordinated with the swinging drive. Also disclosed is a method for transverse cutting a web.
Flange bolt cutter
A flange bolt cutter for separating two connected flanges. The flange bolt cutter contains a circular saw blade connected to an flange mount which can be vertically adjusted relative to the flange mount and/or includes two arms which can be pivotally adjusted relative to each other.
POWERED SAW HAND DETECTION AND CONTROL
A powered saw includes at least one camera, a sensor, a saw blade, a motor configured to drive the saw blade, and an electronic controller including an electronic processor and a memory. The electronic controller receives an indication of an orientation of the saw blade from the sensor and determines a keep-out area based on the orientation of the saw blade, where the keep-out area corresponds to, or is defined relative to, the saw blade. Images captured from the at least one camera are received by the electronic controller, where the captured images include at least a portion of the keep-out area. The electronic controller analyzes, using a machine learning (ML) model, the captured images to determine whether a portion of a hand is present in the keep-out area and, in response to detecting the portion of the hand in the keep-out area, executes a safety action.
