A table saw includes a table assembly having a top surface, a cutting assembly, and an adjustment assembly. The cutting assembly is arranged below the table assembly and is movable relative to the top surface. The adjustment assembly is operably connected to the cutting assembly and includes an input member, an output member, and a flexible shaft. The output member is operably connected to the cutting assembly and is configured such that rotation of the output member causes the cutting assembly to move relative to the table top surface. The flexible shaft has a nonlinear central axis, a first end operably connected to the input member, and a second end operably connected to the output member. The flexible shaft is configured such that rotation of the input member causes rotation of the first and second ends, and rotation of the second end causes rotation of the output member.

A portable folding saw table includes a generally planar worksurface having a pair of folding legs that transition between an open orientation and a folded orientation. A generally rectangular indentation is located on the bottom end of the table and an elongated slit extends from the bottom end to the top end. A pair of brackets are arranged on each side of the indentation and engage a circular saw in an inverted position with the saw blade extending through the slit.

A table saw includes a table assembly having a top surface, a cutting assembly, and an adjustment assembly. The cutting assembly is arranged below the table assembly and is movable relative to the top surface. The adjustment assembly includes an input member connected to a first gear and an output member connected to a second gear and to the cutting assembly. The first and second gears include first and second gear bodies and first and second pluralities of pins projecting from the gear bodies. Rotation of the input member causes rotation of the first gear about a first axis, and rotation of the second gear about a second axis causes rotation of the output member which causes the cutting assembly to move. The second pins engage the first pins in such a way that rotation of the first gear causes rotation of the second gear.

Transmission Device For a Table Saw

A transmission device is adapted for use in a table saw, and includes a bracket and a lifting seat that is movably mounted to the bracket. The transmission device includes a motor, a speed reduction unit, and a saw blade unit. The motor is adapted to be mounted to the lifting seat and has a rotatable central shaft. The speed reduction unit is adapted to be mounted to the lifting seat, is connected to the central shaft, and is driven rotatably by the motor. The saw blade unit includes an output shaft adapted for connection to the lifting seat, extending along a second axis, and driven by the speed reduction unit, and a blade member connected co-rotatably to the output shaft, and having a portion that is adapted to be received in the bracket.

TABLE SAW

A table saw includes a table, a saw unit movably coupled underneath the table, a riving knife extending through the table, and a quick-release assembly selectively coupling the riving knife to the table. The quick-release assembly includes a mounting plate coupled to the table and a clamping plate movable relative to the mounting plate between a clamping position, in which the riving knife is clamped between the mounting plate and the clamping plate to secure the riving knife to the table, and a release position, in which the riving knife is releasable from the table. The quick-release assembly further includes a pin coupled for movement with the clamping plate and a handle pivotably coupled to the pin. The pin has a cam portion engageable with the saw unit. The clamping plate is movable between the clamping positon and the release position in response to pivoting movement of the handle.

POWER SAWS

Power saws and features for power saws are disclosed. Various features are particularly relevant to jobsite or benchtop table saws, such as a trunnion formed from a shaped tube, an elevation carriage, and an arbor block retention mechanism. Other features are particularly relevant to table saws, hand-held circular saws, track saws, miter saws, and band saws with active injury mitigation technology, such as an electrically isolating gear and an overmolded arbor/gear element.

TABLE SAW

Table saws and table saws designed to incorporate safety systems are disclosed. The table saws may include vertical slide elevation mechanisms positioned toward the rear of the saw and constructed so that an arbor block and blade can retract when a safety system detects an unsafe condition. Other table saw parts and components are also disclosed.

BLADE ELEVATION MECHANISMS AND ANTI-BACKDRIVE MECHANISMS FOR TABLE SAWS

Elevation mechanisms for table saws and anti-backdrive mechanisms for use in elevation mechanisms for table saws are disclosed. The anti-backdrive mechanisms typically include three sub-assemblies: an input assembly, an output assembly, and a fixed assembly. The anti-backdrive mechanisms prevent a torque related to the output assembly from changing the blade elevation. For example, the weight of the blade and the structure supporting the blade is prevented from backdriving the elevation mechanism and allowing the blade to drop.
