Work table fence assembly and sled therefor
A sled assembly configured to push stock along a fence includes a carriage and rollers mounted at spaced apart positions. The rollers engage the fence to guide movement of the carriage therealong and each has a peripheral portion for being received in a fence race. An adjustable roller mount selectively adjusts the position of the roller to align the peripheral portions of the rollers with the width of the race. An adjustable fence assembly includes an outfeed fence movable relative to an infeed fence. An outfeed fence adjustment mechanism includes mounting posts at spaced apart locations along the length of the outfeed fence movable to drive movement of the outfeed fence along an axis transverse to the feed direction.
Stop for a work platform tool
A stop for a tool that engages a work piece on a work platform includes a mounting assembly that can be movably mounted on the tool so that the mounting assembly is selectively positionable on the tool. A first member is operatively connected to the mounting assembly and projects outwardly from the mounting assembly. A second member projects from the first member to engage and locate the work piece with respect to the tool. The second member is mounted on the first member for movement along a length of the first member and is selectively fixed to the first member to adjust a distance between the second member and the mounting assembly.
Interface for powered pipe-working tools
Power tools such as cutting saws with rotary powered blades are described. Also described are various accessories for tools used with cylindrical workpieces such as pipes are described. The accessories include a clamp and saw joint assembly, various quick connection assemblies between a saw and a clamping system, a plunge guide assembly, a latch plate assembly, an interlock switch, a blade guard system, and a chip management system or chip deflector. Also described are related methods of use.
Circular saw bench including a work piece feeding apparatus
The invention relates to a machine-tool, especially a circular saw bench. The machine-tool has a clamping device that can be moved with the work piece in an advancing direction and which is guided at a certain height in relation to the workbench. The clamping device is used to support the work piece, in a carrying manner, in the region of the clamping device, in relation to the workbench.
CIRCULAR SAW APPARATUS WITH AN INTEGRATED DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM
Various aspects of a saw apparatus are disclosed. In a first aspect, a worktable is coupled to a vacuum source configured to provide a negative pressure region beneath the worktable. A partition divides the negative pressure region into a first negative pressure region via a first air flow channel and a second negative pressure region via a second air flow channel. In a second aspect, a worktable includes a housing coupled to a vacuum source configured to provide a plurality of negative pressure regions beneath the worktable. In another aspect, data is received which includes a first portion corresponding to a negative pressure level of a first region, and a second portion corresponding to a negative pressure level of a second region. A determination is then made of whether either of the negative pressure level falls below a threshold.
CIRCULAR SAW APPARATUS WITH AN INTEGRATED DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM
Various dust collection aspects are disclosed. In a first aspect, a vacuum source is powered by a vacuum motor housed within a filter coupled to the vacuum source, and a worktable includes a center slot aligned to a circular saw blade. The vacuum source provides negative pressure beneath the worktable at the center slot, and the filter collects dust drawn by the negative pressure. In a second aspect, a vacuum motor housed within a filter provides power to a vacuum source. The filter collects dust drawn by a negative pressure created by the vacuum source, and includes pleated media that makes contact with an agitation flap to remove dust via a rotation of the filter. In another aspect, a sensor coupled to a saw apparatus is monitored, and a trigger sensed by the sensor is detected. A communication is then determined in response to a detection of the trigger.
CIRCULAR SAW APPARATUS WITH AN INTEGRATED DUST COLLECTION SYSTEM
Various aspects to facilitate mobilizing bulk equipment are disclosed. In a first aspect, a saw apparatus includes a vacuum source, a worktable, and a portability mechanism integrated within the saw apparatus in which dimensions associated with the portability mechanism depend on a location of a center of mass of the saw apparatus. The worktable includes a center slot axially aligned to a circular saw blade, and the vacuum source is configured to provide a negative pressure beneath the worktable at the center slot. In a second aspect, a center of mass inquiry is received, which includes data associated with equipment having a non-uniform distribution of mass. The center of mass inquiry is then processed, and a portability mechanism adjustment is sent in response to a processing of the center of mass inquiry.
Workpiece feed/clamp apparatus and cutting machine
A feed/clamp apparatus includes a feed vise mechanism provided upstream from a cutting position, and a downstream vise mechanism provided just downstream from the cutting position. The feed vise mechanism includes first/second feed vise jaws, a downstream moving cylinder for moving the first feed vise jaw, and a downstream shifting cylinder for shifting the second feed vise jaw. The downstream vise mechanism includes first/second downstream vise jaws, a downstream moving cylinder for moving the first downstream vise jaw, and a downstream shifting cylinder for shifting a second downstream vise jaw. A vise surface of the second downstream vise jaw is located on one side of the vise reference position when the downstream shifting cylinder is located its stroke end on the one side. A thrust force of the downstream shifting cylinder toward the one side is made equal to a thrust force of the downstream moving cylinder toward another side.
Mechanism for the relative positioning of an inclined member and a graduated member
A power miter saw includes an activation assembly including a lever, a spring loaded drive rod passing through an underside of the table, a curved link pivotably secured to the drive rod, a pivotal member pivotably secured to the curved link and secured to the lever, a driven rod, a clamping member in an edge of a positioning seat, and an axle through the positioning seat and having an end pivotably disposed in a support seat; a graduated member including apertures; and a locking device including a hollow member having two side slots, a spring loaded cam member, and a transverse bar passing through the positioning seat, the slots, and the cam member; a spring loaded pin secured to a forward end of the hollow member; and two lever members secured to two ends of the transverse bar respectively. A pivotal movement of the lever unfastens a positioning seat.
