Hole saw
10688573 · 2020-06-23 ·

A hole saw includes a base member configured to secure the hole saw to a drive device and a blade member extending orthogonally from each side of the base member. Each blade member is configured having respective distal ends that flex transversely to a longitudinal cutting direction of the blade member. Responsive to rotational movement of the hole saw via the drive device against a structure, a medial location of each blade member creates an initial respective linear cutting path into the structure, and further movement of the respective blade members into the structure cause the distal ends of the respective blade members to flex transversely to the cutting direction and follow the initial linear cutting path despite the rotational movement of the hole saw relative to the structure to produce a linear cut through the structure.

Embodiments relate generally to methods for extracting a core from a percussion side wall core bullet for a digital tomographic description and direct numerical simulations. A method for extracting a core from a percussion side wall core bullet for a digital tomographic description and direct numerical simulations includes pushing a free end of a wire of a wire saw through the core. The core is positioned within the percussion side wall core bullet. In addition, the method includes attaching the free end to a locking mechanism of the wire saw. Further, the method includes cutting the core from the percussion side wall core bullet. The method also includes removing the core from the percussion side wall core bullet.

BLADE EXTENSION AND EXTENDED REACH RECIPROCATING SAW WITH BLADE EXTENSION
20190240748 · 2019-08-08 ·

A blade extension for a reciprocating saw comprises a movable member and a stationary member. The movable member has a proximal end, a distal end and a body extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The proximal end comprises a blade end shaped to be received in a blade holder of the reciprocating saw. The distal end is configured to be coupled to a reciprocating saw blade. The stationary member extends along at least a portion of the movable member and supports the movable member for movement relative to the stationary member. The stationary member has a proximal end configured to be coupled to the reciprocating saw and an opposite distal end. The distal end of the movable member is arranged to protrude distally beyond the distal end of the stationary member.
