Methods of reducing neuroinflammation or toxicity induced by amyloid beta (abeta) using glucocorticoid induced leucine zipper (GILZ) analog peptides
The present disclosure provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising rationally designed peptide analogs of the p65-TAD binding region of GILZ to selectively sequester activated p65. Structural and functional analyses suggest that select GILZ analog (GA) bind p65-TAD with optimum affinity, exhibit an estimated half minimal lethal dose comparable to known peptide drugs and suppress Aβ1-42 induced cytotoxicity. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides uses and methods of using the pharmaceutical compositions, and uses and methods of using pharmaceutical formulations comprising the pharmaceutical compositions, for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, multiple sclerosis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Analogues of hepcidin mimetics with improved in vivo half lives
The present invention provides hepcidin analogues with improved in vivo half lives, and related pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use thereof.
Combination immunotherapy compositions against cancer and methods
Disclosed are immunotherapeutic compositions and the concurrent use of combinations of such compositions for the improved induction of therapeutic immune responses and/or for the prevention, amelioration and/or treatment of disease, including, but not limited to, cancer and infectious disease.
Compositions and methods for treating cancer
Use of a CXCR4 antagonistic peptide and an immune-check point regulator in the treatment of cancer is provided. Accordingly there is provided a method of treating cancer in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide having an amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1 or an analog or derivative thereof; and a therapeutically effective amount of a PD1 antagonist, a PDL-1 antagonist, a CTLA-4 antagonist, a LAG-3 antagonist, a TIM-3 antagonist, a KIR antagonist, an IDO antagonist, an OX40 agonist, a CD137 agonist, a CD27 agonist, a CD40 agonist, a GITR agonist, a CD28 agonist or an ICOS agonist, thereby treating the cancer in the subject. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and articles of manufacture.

Peptides and compositions for use in cosmetics and medicine
The present invention relates to a family of peptides which are able to interfere in the formation of complex Munc18-Syntaxin-1 and, hence, are useful in the prevention and/or treatment of neuronal exocytosis and/or muscle contractility disorders; and to prevent, reduce and/or eliminate skin aging and/or expression signs.
Compositions and methods of targeting cancer stem cells
Described herein are pharmaceutical compositions containing peptoids of general formula (I), (II), or (III) capable of reducing proliferation of cancer stem cells in a subject and methods of treatment or prophylactic administration of these pharmaceutical compositions to treat cancer. Also provided herein are method of detecting and treating cancerous cell masses by use of peptoids of general formula (I), (II), or (III).
Antagonism of the VIP signaling pathway
Inhibition of the VIP signaling pathway with VIP antagonist is contemplated. In certain embodiments, the disclosure relates to methods of enhancing the immune response to a cell therapy comprising administering a VIP antagonist to a subject in combination with a cell. In certain embodiments, the subject is diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma. In certain embodiments, the cell is a blood cell, bone marrow cell, leukocyte, T-cell, natural killer cell, a hematopoietic stem cell, a G-CSF mobilized or non-mobilized blood mononuclear cell.
