RECIPROCATING TOOL
A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a reciprocating member, and a crank mechanism. The motor is disposed in a housing. The reciprocating member projects from the housing. The crank mechanism converts rotation of a rotation shaft of the motor into reciprocation of the reciprocating member. The crank mechanism rotates around an axis in a lateral direction by rotation transmission from the rotation shaft, and the crank mechanism includes a crank member having an eccentric pin, a connecting rod coupling the eccentric pin to the reciprocating member, and a balancer coupled to the eccentric pin, and the balancer is supported by the eccentric pin alone in the housing.
Hand-guided stroke-type saw having an untrue-running correction device, and method for correction of untrue running
A hand-guided stroke-type saw includes a stroke rod and a saw-blade receiver that is supported by the stroke rod. The stroke rod defines a stroke axis extending axially through the stroke rod. The saw-blade receiver is configured to receive a saw blade and defines a saw-blade receiver axis that extends axially through the saw-blade receiver and is substantially parallel to the stroke axis such that the saw-blade receiver is offset radially from the stroke axis in a first direction opposite to a direction of advance.
RECIPROCATING SAW
A reciprocating saw includes a housing, a motor, and a drive mechanism. The motor includes an output gear rotatable about a motor axis. The drive mechanism includes a driven gear that engages the output gear and is rotated by the motor. The driven gear has a circumference and is vertically-oriented within the housing. The drive mechanism also includes an output shaft coupled to the driven gear and configured to reciprocate relative to the housing. The drive mechanism further includes a single counterweight fixed relative to the driven gear and rotating with the driven gear through a path and in a same direction. As the counterweight moves through a rearward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in an upward direction, and as the counterweight moves through a forward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in a downward direction.

RECIPROCATING TOOL
A power tool includes: a housing having a handle configured to be grasped by a user; a motor supported by the housing and defining a motor axis; a driving gear rotated by the motor about the motor axis; a driven gear defining a rotation axis that is parallel to the motor axis, the driven gear engaging the driving gear to be rotated by the driving gear about the rotation axis; a crankshaft coupled to and rotatable with the driven gear; a counterweight having a first yoke coupled to the driven gear to translate rotation of the driven gear into reciprocating motion of the counterweight; and a spindle having a second yoke coupled to the crankshaft to translate rotation of the driven gear into reciprocating motion of the spindle, wherein the counterweight and the spindle reciprocate opposite one another.
RECIPROCATING SAW
A reciprocating saw includes a motor having a rotor that is rotatable relative to a stator. A rotary shaft is fixedly connected to, and rotatably driven by the rotor. The rotary shaft has a rotational axis. A reciprocating-motion converting mechanism is driven by rotation of the rotary shaft, and a slider is reciprocally moved in a first direction by the reciprocating-motion converting mechanism. The rotational axis of the motor and the first direction form an angle of 45-135.
Housing of a cutting tool including blade storage, integral blade guard and motor ventilation pathway
A jigsaw that uses a cutting blade generally includes a housing containing a motor activated by a trigger assembly. A blade storage compartment is recessed in the housing. A platform is provided in the blade storage compartment having a first edge that at least partially defines a first recess that extends further into the housing beyond the platform. A member is connected to the platform that produces a magnetic field that releasably secures the cutting blade to the platform. The magnetic field is configured to permit a user to tilt the cutting blade about the first edge of the platform into the first recess to overcome the magnetic field and remove the cutting blade from the storage compartment.
JIGSAW
A jigsaw includes a jigsaw main body, a handle, and a battery. The jigsaw main body includes a housing, a motor disposed inside the housing, and a battery mounting portion having a first mounting surface facing downward. The handle is disposed at an upper portion of the jigsaw main body and above the motor. The battery has a second mounting surface and supplies the motor with an electric power. The battery is slidable along the first mounting surface and mountable to the battery mounting portion with the first and second mounting surfaces facing each other.
RECIPROCATING SAW ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure is directed to a reciprocating saw assembly including a saw unit. The saw unit includes a reciprocating mechanism having a reciprocating spindle to which a saw blade is attachable, a drive unit for providing torque to the reciprocating mechanism, causing the spindle to reciprocate, and an outer housing in which the drive is received. The outer housing includes a handle portion graspable by a user during a cutting operation. The reciprocating saw assembly further includes a clamping unit having a clamp housing pivotably coupled to the outer housing and a jaw movable relative to the clamp housing between a clamping position, in which the clamping unit is affixed to a workpiece to be cut, and a release position, in which the clamping unit is removable from the workpiece.
