BLADE CLAMP FOR RECIPROCATING SAW
A reciprocating tool includes a housing, a spindle having an end configured to receive a saw blade, and a blade clamp mechanism supported on the spindle and configured to attach the saw blade to the spindle. The blade clamp mechanism includes a locking member movable relative to the spindle between a locked position and an unlocked position. The blade clamp mechanism also includes an actuating member that is rotatable relative to the spindle between an engaged position and a released position. The actuating member defines a gripping surface with ridges and includes a first tab and a second tab, each of the first tab and the second tab protruding radially from the outer gripping surface.

RECIPROCATING TOOL
A reciprocating tool includes a housing, a support body, a slider, a motor, a driving mechanism, a first biasing member, a manipulation member and a first change mechanism. The housing has a first axis that defines a front-rear direction of the reciprocating tool. The support body is supported within the housing. The slider is supported by the support body to be linearly movable. The driving mechanism is operably coupled to the slider and configured to reciprocally move the slider relative to the support body using power of the motor. The first change mechanism is operably coupled to the manipulation member and configured to selectively enable and disable the first biasing member to bias the slider in response to manipulation of the manipulation member. When biasing of the slider by the first biasing member is enabled by the first change mechanism, the first biasing member biases the slider downward.

Reciprocating saw
A reciprocating saw includes a housing defining a motor housing portion, and a motor positioned in the motor housing portion, the motor having a motor output shaft defining a rotational axis, and a motor activation switch within the motor housing portion and adjacent the motor. The reciprocating saw also includes a transmission is positioned downstream of the motor and has a sawbar connectable to a saw blade. The transmission converts a rotational input provided by the motor shaft to a reciprocating output of the sawbar along a reciprocating axis that is either coaxial or parallel with the rotational axis.

Reciprocating saw
A reciprocating saw comprises a housing, a blade assembly, a reciprocating rod assembly, a driving assembly and an operation mechanism. The blade assembly extends forward from one side of the housing, and comprises a positioning structure. The reciprocating rod assembly is detachably connected with the blade assembly and comprises a blade fixing structure and an unlocking component matched with the positioning structures. The driving assembly is accommodated in the housing, and drives the reciprocating rod assembly to drive the blade assembly to perform reciprocating motion. The operation mechanism is installed on the housing and moves between a locking position and an unlocking position and comprises an operation button, a drive cam matched with the unlocking components and an elastic reset component for resetting the operation button.
Reciprocating saw
A method of assembling a gearcase cover assembly of a reciprocating saw. The method includes providing a gearcase cover with a cylindrical opening and a receiving portion, providing a shaft with a yoke affixed to the shaft, inserting a first end of the shaft into the cylindrical opening and rotating the shaft such that a second end of the shaft sits in the receiving portion.

Force and moment canceling reciprocating mechanism and power tool having same
A force and moment canceling reciprocating mechanism for a power-driven tool may include a transmission including an input gear assembly and an output gear assembly, coupled to a reciprocating mechanism. The input gear assembly may include a first input gear coaxially aligned with a second input gear. The output gear assembly may include a first output gear coaxially arranged with a second output gear. The reciprocating mechanism may be coupled to the output gear assembly, to convert rotational motion to linear motion, for output to an output accessory of the tool. One or both of the first and second input gears may include counterweights, or counterweight masses, and one or both of the first and second output gears may include counterweights, or counterweight masses. The counterweighting of the input and output gear assemblies may provide for the cancelation of forces and moments generated by the operation of the motor and the transmission, and the reciprocal motion of the reciprocating mechanism.
