Sliding Sled for Cutting Precision Segments on a Band Saw

A device and method are disclosed. An embodiment of a sliding sled for use on a saw table includes a flat plate, adjustable guide fences on the flat plate at a fixed pivot end to create an oblique relative to the saw table, an indexing system including angle indicators to set the angles of the adjustable guide fences, roller bearings on the bottom side of the flat plate for riding on the ACCU-SLICE rail, and a sawdust shield to keep sawdust off the roller bearings and ACCU-SLICE rail. Guide fences may have a fixed pivot end and a movable end and a locking bolt to temporarily fix the movable end at a desired position on the plate. The movable end of the adjustable guide fences may align with the angle indicators when the angle of the adjustable guide fence relative to the cutting plane corresponds to the angle indicators.

Shuttle system to move strapped/bundled material for sawing

There is provided in a preferred embodiment an apparatus for feeding an elongated material in a direction substantially generally along a length thereof to a cutting device having a cutting surface. The apparatus includes a lifting base assembly and a material shuttling assembly secured on the pivoting base assembly, the latter defining a feeding path. The lifting base assembly has a lower base portion and an upper base portion hingedly coupled to the lower base portion along a base pivoting axis generally parallel to and laterally offset from the feeding path. The upper base portion is selectively rotatable about the pivoting axis relative to the lower base portion between a level position and a lifted position, wherein in the lifted position, the material is raised above the cutting surface in an angled orientation where the material is further raised along a first lateral end portion relative to a second lateral end portion opposed to the first lateral end portion, the second lateral end portion being proximal to the pivoting axis.

BAND-SAW MACHINE AND METHOD FOR SAWING A METAL TUBE

A method for sawing a metal tube 3 or hollow section using a band-saw machine which has a stationary lower saw part 1 having a saw table 2 for placing and fixing a metal tube 3 to be sawn, and an upper saw part 4 which is movable in relation to the lower saw part 1 and which has a revolving saw band 5. The revolving saw band 5 via a feed motion 13 of the upper saw part 4, which is performed in relation to the lower saw part 1, penetrates the metal tube 3 and, for performing a saw cut, is guided through said metal tube 3. The feed motion is carried out substantially counter to the force of gravity.

A double-saw band saw machine includes a base, a first band saw unit, a second band saw unit, a feeding unit and a clamp unit. When an object to be sawn is located in a sawing area between the first and second band saw units, the first and second motors control the first and second frames to move toward each other along the first axial direction, so that the first and second band saw blades can be used to cut the object to be sawn simultaneously. Hence, the sawing efficiency of the double-saw band saw machine is improved, and the replacement interval for the first and second band saw blades is extended.
