Post notch forming tool mounted on a handheld saw blade for forming a notch in a post end. The tool has a base, a handle, and two L-shaped members with bolt assemblies for attaching the tool to the saw blade. The base has a first extended lip which slides downwardly along the post's outer surface to guide the tool to form a 3-inch notch. A spacer member is selectively attached to the L-shaped members and has a second extended lip which slides downwardly along the post's outer surface to guide the tool to form a 1½ inch notch. Method steps include using the power saw blade to form a transverse cut intersecting the longitudinal axis, using the extended lip of the base to form a 3-inch notch, or attaching the spacer member and using its extended lip to form a 1½ inch notch in the post's outer surface.

Cutting device

A cutting device includes a housing formed with a handle portion and an accommodation portion, a cutting portion connected to the housing and at least partially disposed in the accommodation portion, a motor disposed in the accommodation portion and extending in a first linear direction, and a bottom plate extending in a plane of the bottom plate and formed with an opening through which at least part of the cutting portion passes. The cutting device further includes a worm gear and worm structure disposed in the accommodation portion. The cutting portion includes a chain and a guide plate connected to the housing and used for supporting the chain. The motor includes an output shaft, the cutting portion is connected to a driving shaft, the output shaft transmits power to the driving shaft through a worm gear and a worm, and the driving shaft is capable of driving the chain.

Chain saw

A chain saw may include a saw chain, a guide bar to which the saw chain is attached, a sprocket configured to move the saw chain along a periphery of the guide bar, a prime mover configured to rotate the sprocket, a housing that houses the prime mover, a bolt protruding from the housing and penetrating a hole provided in the guide bar, and a nut screwed to the bolt to fix the guide bar to the housing. The nut may be exposed to outside. A heat insulating structure may be provided on a heat transfer path between the nut and the guide bar.

Guide Bar for a Motor Chainsaw and Method for Producing a Guide Bar

A guide bar for motor chainsaws has side plates and a middle section between the side plates connected fixedly and non-movably to the side plates. The side plates form a clamping section and a deflection section opposite the clamping section. A guide groove extends circumferentially about the guide bar. The middle section forms the guide groove bottom in the deflection section. A guide bar tip is located where the longitudinal center axis of the guide bar intersects the deflection section. The side plates each have a guide surface extending continuously across a first longitudinal side of the guide bar, the deflection section, and a second longitudinal side of the guide bar. The guide surfaces of the side plates have hardened regions at the first and second longitudinal sides and at the guide bar tip with a hardness greater than a hardness of a middle region of the side plates.

Rechargeable Battery Pack, Machining System and Method for Producing a Rechargeable Battery Pack

A rechargeable battery pack supplies electrical drive power to an electrically driven machining device. The rechargeable battery pack has: a plurality of rechargeable battery cells, wherein the rechargeable battery cells each have cell contacts; a housing, wherein the rechargeable battery cells are arranged within the housing; and a potting compound, wherein the potting compound protects the cell contacts from contact with water from outside the housing. The housing has a housing top part and a housing bottom part. The housing bottom part overlaps the housing top part such that the housing top part defines an outer region and an inner region of the housing bottom part for the potting compound. A casting level of the potting compound in the outer region is above a casting level of the potting compound in the inner region.

Hand-guided power tool

A power tool has a handle operatively connected with vibration damping across a vibration gap to a drive motor with throttle element. An actuating device on the handle actuates the throttle element pivotably supported in a housing. A coupling element bridging the vibration gap connects actuating device to throttle element. The actuation movement of the actuation device is transmitted as rotation about an axis transverse to the vibration gap. An intermediate element is pivotably supported on an actuating element connected to the throttle element. The coupling element acts on the intermediate element and, over part of the actuation movement, contacts a contact region of the intermediate element. A guide for the intermediate element changes a position of the contact region relative to the housing based on a rotational position of the actuating element by changing a pivot position of the intermediate element relative to the housing.
