An easily operable, highly durable cutting machine finely adjusts the miter angle of a turntable. A cutting machine includes a turntable supported in a manner rotatable horizontally to a base and including a substantially disk-shaped table body to receive a workpiece and a table extension protruding forward from the table body, a cutting machine body located above the turntable and connected in a manner swingable vertically to the turntable, and a fine angle adjuster that adjusts a rotation angle of the turntable with respect to the base and including a rack on the base, a pinion located in the table body within an area of the table body as viewed from above and engageable with the rack directly or indirectly, and an operation part operable to rotate the pinion.

Cutting length display device

A cutting length display device for a hand-held machine tool includes at least one display unit and a cable system unit. The at least one display unit includes at least one movably mounted display element for displaying at least one position of a cutting edge of a machining tool on a workpiece configured to be machined depending on a set cutting depth of the machining tool. The cable system unit is configured to change a position of the at least one display element depending on the set cutting depth of the machining tool.

Angle divider for miter saw

An angle divider includes a body portion with a proximate end and a distal end. A distal end pivot point is positioned in the distal end of the body portion. First and second removable arm are pivotally mounted to the distal end pivot point. The arms pivot with respect to the distal end pivot point. An adjustable pivot is mounted for sliding movement within an elongated slot formed in the body portion. Brackets removably interconnect the arms to the adjustable pivot. Movement of the arms results in movement of the adjustable pivot longitudinally along the body portion. A lock locks the adjustable pivot with respect to the body portion, which locks the arms in place with respect to the body portion. The removable arms can be removed from the adjustable pivot point for transport and to split the angle.

SAFETY SYSTEM FOR A MACHINE TOOL
20200080688 · 2020-03-12 ·

A safety system is provided for a machine tool, having a tool, having a clamping device, arranged movably on a frame of the machine tool, for the tool. The clamping device is movable by a movement device from a working position, in which the tool can be used for working and in which the tool poses a risk of injury to a user, into a safety position, in which the tool poses substantially no risk of injury to the user. The movement device has at least two equally or oppositely magnetized and/or magnetizable magnetic means, of which at least a first magnetic means is connected to or arranged on the tool and at least one second magnetic means is connected to or arranged on the frame, such that the movement of the tool by the movement device from the working position into the safety position can be triggered and/or at least partially performed by magnetic force.

POWER TOOL ANGLE ASSIST

Power tool methods and systems are provided for aligning a power tool to implement an angled cut in a workpiece. The power tool includes a first distance sensor and a second distance sensor. The power tool measures a first distance to the workpiece with the first distance sensor and a second distance to the workpiece with the second distance sensor. The power tool calculates an angle between the power tool and the workpiece based on the first and second distances, and indicates the angle via an angle output indicator of the power tool. The power tool may measure an angle between the power tool and the workpiece using a proximate edge and a distal edge of the workpiece, and indicate whether the power tool maintains a correct angle as it traverses a cut through the workpiece from the proximate edge to the distal edge.

Single blade pile cutting system

A pile cutter, suitable for cutting of steel reinforced concrete piles, has a frame with a pile receiving area and a generally U-shaped track around the pile receiving area. A single saw blade, for example a diamond tipped rotary saw blade, is carried on a saw blade carriage assembly, which is movably mounted on the U-shaped track. The dimensions of the various components are such that the saw blade cuts past a center line through the pile receiving area. By moving the saw blade carriage assembly first to one end of the U-shaped track, then to the other end, the pile can be completely severed.

MOVEMENT CONTROL OF MATERIAL REMOVAL SYSTEMS

Systems, and/or methods for movement control of material removal systems and/or assemblies are disclosed, such as saws, grinders, polishers, and/or more general material preparation and/or testing machines, for example. A material removal system may include a material removal machine that is configured to move at the urging of one or more actuators. The system may further include control circuitry configured to control movement (and/or speed, acceleration, etc.) of the material removal assembly (e.g., via the actuators) based on one or more power, thermal, position, and/or other parameters that indicate whether the material removal tool is in contact with a sample.

Method for controlling a wall saw system when making a separating cut

A method for controlling a wall saw system during creation of a separation cut in a workpiece between a first and second end point, is disclosed. The separation cut is carried out in a plurality of main cuts. In addition to the main-cut sequence, an overcut sequence having at least two overcuts is defined for each end point defined as a free end point. For each overcut sequence, a starting position and an end position are defined, the overcuts being carried out therebetween. The wall saw is positioned in the starting position and is pivoted into a first overcut angle; subsequently, the saw head is moved by way of the inclined saw arm until the end position has been reached. The wall saw is displaced back into the starting position and pivoted into a second overcut angle. This sequence is repeated until all of the overcuts have been carried out.

NARROW STOCK RIP GUIDE CUTTING SYSTEM
20200056873 · 2020-02-20 ·

A system for cutting narrow workpieces having a track that extends a width between a cutting edge and a non-cutting edge. One or more measuring bodies are connected to a slot adjacent the non-cutting edge that include a measuring bar that extends forward from the front side of the measuring body and under the track as well as extends rearward from the rear side of the measuring body. The measuring bar slides within the measuring body to accommodate the desired workpiece thickness. The measuring bar includes measuring indicia and a measuring member that facilitates measurement of workpiece thickness. Measuring body includes a locking member that locks the measuring bar at a desired thickness. Measuring member may be adjusted to calibrate the measuring member to the track and saw using a locking member. Measuring body also includes a support leg and associated locking mechanism that levels the measuring body.
