Blade for reciprocating saw
A blade for a reciprocating saw, said blade being made from at least a bimetallic sheet material and comprising a flat body portion comprising a low-alloy steel material or a carbon steel material, a cutting edge portion comprising a high-speed steel material provided with a plurality of teeth arranged at a first edge of said flat body portion, and a back edge portion arranged at a second edge of said flat body portion opposite of said cutting edge portion, wherein said back edge portion is provided with a non-cutting micro-structured surface.
Saw blade
A reciprocating saw blade includes a body defining a longitudinal axis. The saw blade includes an attachment portion coupled to the body. The attachment portion is able to couple to a reciprocating saw. The saw blade further includes a cutting portion having a plurality of cutting teeth. Each cutting tooth includes a tip and a protrusion spaced a first distance from the tip. The protrusion of a respective cutting tooth is spaced a first distance from the tip of the cutting tooth in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. A gullet is defined between the tip of a first cutting tooth and the protrusion of an adjacent second cutting tooth. The gullet includes a gullet width in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The first distance is greater than the gullet width.
SAW BLADE
A saw blade contains a body, in particular of a hard material, having a cutting portion. The cutting portion has a length and a width and being provided along its length with a plurality of teeth which are formed by a plurality of grooves. Each tooth being formed by at least two grooves. There is a first plurality of grooves, the grooves of which are parallel to each other along a first direction and in that there is a second plurality of grooves, the grooves of which are parallel to each other in a second direction. The first direction and the second direction are inclined to each other such that along the length of the cutting portion at least one of the grooves of the first plurality of grooves is intersected by a groove of the second plurality of grooves.
RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE
A reciprocating saw blade that includes an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end, a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body and extending between the inner and distal ends thereof and a tang located at the inner end of the blade body. The tang projects from the blade body at an acute angle relative to a line tangent to an inner end of the cutting edge. The cutting edge includes a portion defining a substantially curved contour and optionally can include at least one further portion defining a non-curved contour.
Ground set saw blade
A saw blade includes a blade backer with a pair of side surfaces that extend substantially parallel to each other. An intermediate surface extends between the pair of side surfaces of the blade backer. A plurality of teeth extends from the intermediate surface. The plurality of teeth includes an asymmetrically ground tooth tip having a first rake face angle and a symmetrically ground tooth tip having a different, second rake face angle.
Ground set hole saw
A hole saw with a substantially cylindrical body, a center axis of rotation, an inner surface, and an outer surface. A cutting edge defined by a plurality of ground set teeth arranged in a pattern includes a first group of teeth oriented at angles toward the center axis of rotation intermixed with a second group of teeth oriented at an angle away from the center axis of rotation. The teeth angled away from the center axis of rotation are oriented at substantially the same angle and the teeth angled toward the center axis of rotation are oriented with each progressive tooth of the first group have an increasing angle relative to a prior tooth of the first group.
Method of using a cutting blade
A method of using a cutting blade on a portable band saw. The method includes the step of providing a portable band saw. A cutting blade is provided which includes at least one tooth that has a linear rake face with a positive rake face angle transitioning uninterruptedly from a tip of said cutting tooth into a single radius to define a portion of said cutting tooth. The portable band saw is used to cut and object with the cutting blade of the portable band saw in a single continuous linear cut direction.
Cutting Apparatus with Multi-Directional Cutting Element
The present invention relates to a novel cutting apparatus capable of effectively cutting a material via movement in at least two different directions. In certain embodiments, the cutting apparatus comprises cutting elements with at least two cutting surfaces. Such cutting elements are capable of effectively penetrating a material when moved with an applied force in the direction that at least one cutting surface is oriented. Such cutting elements may be configured for use with a variety of cutting apparatus, including but not limited to chainsaws, circular saws, band saws, jigsaws or tigersaws.
SAW BLADE
A saw blade includes a body and a plurality of cutting teeth formed on the body. The plurality of cutting teeth include a first cutting tooth having a tip adjacent a first end of the first cutting tooth, a rake face defining a rake face line extending from the tip toward the body at a positive rake angle, and a relief face extending from the tip toward a second end of the first cutting tooth. The saw blade also includes a plurality of gullets formed on the body between the plurality of cutting teeth. The plurality of gullets include a first gullet forming an undercut of the first cutting tooth. At least a portion of the undercut is positioned on a side of the rake face line in a direction opposite a cutting direction of the saw blade.
Reciprocating saw blade with curved cutting edge
A reciprocating saw blade that includes an elongated blade body defining an inner end and a distal end, a cutting edge located on one side of the blade body and extending between the inner and distal ends thereof and a tang located at the inner end of the blade body. The tang projects from the blade body at an acute angle relative to a line tangent to an inner end of the cutting edge. The cutting edge includes a portion defining a substantially curved contour and optionally can include at least one further portion defining a non-curved contour.
