SUBSTANCES, VACCINES AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING AND REDUCING INCIDENCES OF TRANSPLANT REJECTION
Methods and products for diagnosing, treating and/or delaying onset of chronic allograft rejection, including cardiac allograft vasculopathy. In an exemplary embodiment of a noninvasive method of screening a cardiac allograft recipient for being at-risk for developing cardiac allograft vasculopathy of the present disclosure, the method comprises the steps of withdrawing at least one biological sample from a cardiac allograft recipient; and analyzing the at least one biological sample for one or more biomarkers indicative of the presence of fibrin deposits within the cardiac allograft microvasculature; wherein detection of the one or more biomarkers indicates that the cardiac allograft recipient is at-risk for or developing cardiac allograft vasculopathy.
Methods of rational nicotine hapten design and uses thereof
Provided herein are methods for rational design of nicotine haptens. More particularly, provided herein are methods for designing, selecting, and synthesizing nicotine haptens and nicotine hapten conjugates. Also provided herein are novel nicotine haptens and methods for using nicotine haptens to treat nicotine addiction.
Immunomodulatory agent-polymeric compounds
This invention relates to compositions, and related compounds and methods, of conjugates of immunomodulatory agents and polymers or unit(s) thereof. The conjugates may be contained within synthetic nanocarriers, and the immunomodulatory agents may be released from the synthetic nanocarriers in a pH sensitive manner.
LIPID NANOPARTICLE-BASED ANTI-FENTANYL VACCINE
The present invention provides a lipid nanoparticle comprising a fentanyl hapten, and a T helper peptide and/or an adjuvant, wherein the fentanyl hapten is conjugated to the outer surface of the lipid nanoparticle, and wherein the T helper peptide and/or the adjuvant is/are encapsulated within the lipid nanoparticle. The invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising the lipid nanoparticle and uses thereof for inducing an immune response against fentanyl and the prevention or treatment of a fentanyl abuse disorder or a fentanyl addiction or a fentanyl overdose in a subject. Further provided herein is a method for preparing the lipid nanoparticle of the invention.
Immune tolerance inducer
An object of the present invention is to provide a drug and a method for effectively inducing donor-specific immune tolerance in a recipient in transplantation therapy. A complex of an siRNA for a costimulatory factor and schizophyllan is delivered to a Dectin-1 expressing cell which specifically recognizes schizophyllan to regulate the function of the Dectin-1 expressing cell, and therefore can induce immunosuppression effect as well as induce immune tolerance effectively.
6-ACETYLMORPHINE ANALOGS, AND METHODS FOR THEIR SYNTHESIS AND USE
The present invention relates to novel 6-acetylmorphine analogs, and methods for their synthesis and use. Such analogs are designed to provide a convenient linkage chemistry for coupling under mild conditions to a suitable group on a target protein, polypeptide, solid phase or detectable label.
Nucleic acid/polysaccharide complex
A highly stable nucleic acid-polysaccharide complex of an siRNA and schizophyllan is formed by adding polydeoxyadenine in which at least part of the phosphodiester link portion is phosphorothioated to an siRNA and allowing the siRNA and schizophyllan to form a complex.
Disrupted adenovirus-based vaccine against drugs of abuse
The invention is directed to an adenovirus-antigen conjugate comprising (a) a disrupted adenovirus with a coat protein and (b) an antigen conjugated to the coat protein of the disrupted adenovirus, as well as a conjugate comprising (a) a disrupted adenovirus with a coat protein and (b) an antigen conjugated to the coat protein of the disrupted adenovirus. The invention also provides a method of inducing an immune response against an antigen in a human using the aforementioned conjugates. The invention further provides an adeno-associated viral vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence which encodes an antibody directed against cocaine.
VACCINATION COMPOSITION
The present invention is directed to vaccination composition comprising a particle comprising a polymer matrix incorporating an adjuvant and/or an antigen, to method of making them and use. Particularly, the present invention results in adjuvants and/or antigens, covalently entrapped in or coupled to polymer carriers or polymeric devices, such as micelles, nanoparticles, microspheres and other types of polymer devices for controlled release; the adjuvant and/or antigen are covalently bonded in or to the polymer carriers or polymeric devices.
