OUT OF CENTER COOLING BORE DRILLING FOR GAS TURBINE ROTOR
A cooling bore guide for reaming an enlarged portion into a cooling bore of a rotor. The cooling bore guide may include a cutter guide for insertion into the cooling bore and a guide lock for insertion into an adjacent cooling bore.
CUTTING TOOL AND CUTTING INSERT
A reaming tool includes a tool holder body and at least one one-piece indexable reaming insert. The reaming insert includes more than one cutting edge. The tool holder body has an insert clamp for clamping the reaming insert relative to the tool holder body. The cutting edge extends beyond a periphery of the tool holder body when the reaming insert is clamped relative to an abutment surface of the tool holder body. The reaming insert has a head and an integral mounting portion, the tool holder body having an opening in which the integral mounting portion of the cutting insert is disposed. A reaming insert for a tool is also disclosed.
TOOL FOR FINE MACHINING OF BORES
This disclosure relates to a machine tool comprising a tool holder which rotates relative to a workpiece to be machined and has a tool axis, and a plurality of cutting inserts that are removably attached to the tool holder, the active cutting edges of said cutting inserts having a common cutting circle which is coaxial to the tool axis. According to this disclosure, the tool holder has a cylinder-type insert seat shell for radially positioning the cutting inserts, which rotates about the tool axis. The cutting inserts have at least one contact surface that can be brought into contact with the insert seat shell.
REAMER
An insert portion (3) of a reamer (1) is fixed, using screws (8), to a leading end portion of a body (2A). The insert portion (3) is configured by overlaying an insert (4) for finish machining and an insert (5) for rough machining, and forms a right hand cut right hand helix. On respective mating faces of the inserts (4, 5), convex portions and concave portions of the mating face of the insert (4) overlap with concave portions and convex portions of the mating face of the insert (5). The reamer (1) can enlarge a hole formed in a workpiece or change a shape of the hole. The inserts (4, 5) simultaneously cut an inner peripheral face of the hole, and can thus perform rough machining and finish machining in one pass. By overlapping the convex portions and the concave portions of each of the mating faces of the inserts (4, 5), they partially overlap in their respective thickness directions. A protrusion length of the insert portion (3) can thus be shortened.
Reamer
A reamer has a basic tool body made of hard metal (12) and a plate-like cutting insert (18) inserted into a recess (28) at the front. The cutting insert (18) is at least partially made of polycrystalline diamond, its cutting edges (20) situated axially offset relative to the cutting edges (30) on the basic tool body (12), thus engaging with the workpiece later.
ASSEMBLY OF A REAMING TOOL, CONSISTING OF CLAMPING PART, REAMING BIT AND A DISMANTLING KEY AND METHOD OF DISMANTLING OF THE REAMING TOOL
Assembly of a reaming tool, that includes a clamping part, a reaming bit and a dismantling key. The clamping part is provided with a driving pin and with a hollow seating central protrusion. The reaming bit is provided with a central through opening for depositing on the seating central protrusion of the clamping part. On a cutting part a frontal surface is provided with a central axis on which a through conical opening is provided. On the clamping part of the reaming tool a frontal abutting surface is provided. In the central axis of the clamping part, there is a tubular conical protrusion, whose apex angle is smaller than the apex angle of the through conical opening. On the frontal abutting surface of the clamping part at least one recess is provided corresponding in shape to the functional part of the dismantling key.
