Nipah virus envelope pseudotyped lentiviruses and methods of their use
The present invention relates to lentiviral particles which have been pseudotyped with Nipah virus (NiV) fusion (F) and attachment (G) glycoproteins (NiVpp-F/G). Additionally, the present invention relates to truncated NiV-F glycoproteins useful in producing such NiVpp lentiviral particles, as well as to additional variant peptides which enhance activity. Further, the present invention relates to methods of using such lentiviral particles or sequences, for example in the treatment of cancer or CNS disorders.
Broad spectrum influenza virus vaccine
The disclosure relates to broad spectrum influenza virus ribonucleic acid (RNA) vaccines, as well as methods of using the vaccines and compositions comprising the vaccine. In a preferred embodiment, the vaccine is formulated as a lipid nanoparticle comprising at least one cationic lipid.
Systems and methods to produce B cells genetically modified to express selected antibodies
Systems and methods to genetically modify B cells to express selected antibodies are described. The systems and methods can be used to: obviate the need for classical vaccinations; provide protection against infectious agents for which no vaccinations are currently available; provide protection against infectious agents when patients are otherwise immune-suppressed; and/or provide a benefit provided by a therapeutic antibody, such as in the treatment of autoimmune disorders.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines
Disclosed are vaccines capable of achieving protection against RSV while avoiding vaccine-enhanced disease (VED). In particular, vaccine constructs have been molecularly designed and genetically engineered to comprise RSV fusion (F) protein displayed on the surface of a particle, such as a virus-like particles (VLP) and low temperature-prepared split RSV. In some embodiments, the RSV F protein is in a pre-fusion F conformation. Also disclosed a variants and combinations of split RSV and RSV F DNA vaccine with pre-fusion F and enhanced efficacy. In addition, disclosed split RSV vaccines containing pre-fusion F conformation and combination adjuvants MPL and CpG.

Nucleic acids encoding Zika virus-like particles and their use in Zika virus vaccines and diagnostic assays
Transcriptional units encoding Zika virus (ZIKV) premembrane (prM) and envelope (E) proteins, which upon translation form Zika virus-like particles (VLPs), are described. Use of the transcriptional units and VLPs in three different ZIKV vaccine platforms is described. Immunoassay-based detection methods using ZIKV VLPs are described for the diagnosis of ZIKV infection.

RECOMBINANT INFLUENZA VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES (VLPS) PRODUCED IN TRANSGENIC PLANTS
A method for synthesizing influenza virus-like particles (VLPs) within a plant or a portion of a plant is provided. The method involves expression of influenza HA in plants and the purification by size exclusion chromatography. The invention is also directed towards a VLP comprising influenza HA protein and plant lipids. The invention is also directed to a nucleic acid encoding influenza HA as well as vectors. The VLPs may be used to formulate influenza vaccines, or may be used to enrich existing vaccines.
