Cylinder welding system
A cylinder welding system includes a welder that has a control unit, a welding head and a wire feed. Each of the wire feed and the welding head is electrically coupled to the control unit. A cart is provided and the cart is rollably positioned within a cylinder. A rotation unit is rotatably coupled to the cart and the rotation unit engages an inside surface of the cylinder. The rotation unit is electrically coupled to the control unit such that the control unit controls operational parameters of the rotation unit. In this way the rotation unit is actuated to rotate along the inside surface of the cylinder. The welding head is coupled to the rotation unit to weld the inside of the cylinder when the rotation unit rotates along the inside of the cylinder. In this way one cylinder may be automatically welded to another cylinder.

A metal hand tool including a handle attached to a blade piece and method of construction. The blade piece includes a blade opposite an elongated tang. The handle is made up of two, welded, symmetrical handle halves, each handle half having an opening for receiving a hang hole piece and a notched distal end for forming a handle opening to receive the blade piece elongated tang. In an embodiment, the handle includes a curved distal end accommodating a curved welded connection between the blade piece and the handle. The hand tool further includes a hang hole piece configured for placement through the hang hole openings in the handle and for welded connection to the handle. In an embodiment, the elongated tang includes a hang hole opening through which the hang hole extends. Some embodiments further include one or more tang guide pieces welded to the interior of the handle.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WELDING TUBES
A system for manufacturing boiler tubes includes a first spindle for receiving a first tube having a first weld preparation, a second spindle for receiving a second tube having a second weld preparation, the first spindle and the second spindle being rotatable synchronously, and a welding device having a first weld head. The welding device is configured to automatically weld the first tube to the second tube according to a control routine stored in memory to produce a boiler tube.
ROBOTICS FOR WELDING OF COLUMNS
The present invention provides improved systems for supporting and translating a robotic welder around a structural column to perform automatic welding of joints. The improved system permits a robotic welder to perform the required welds in at least half the time it would take a human welder, thereby significantly reducing construction costs, improving safety of construction, and improving accuracy of welding, and requiring less testing of the welds.
ROBOTIC WELDING SYSTEM
A robotic welding system comprises a supporting arm for attaching to a repositionable support structure, the supporting arm comprising a first mounting portion connectable to the repositionable support structure, and a second mounting portion rotatably coupled to the first mounting portion. A yaw rotary actuator rotates the second mounting portion about a yaw axis. A welding arm comprises a third mounting portion rotatably coupled to the second mounting portion of the supporting arm. A pitch rotary actuator rotates the third mounting portion about a pitch axis generally perpendicular to the yaw axis. A roll rotary actuator rotates a torch holder shaft about a roll axis generally perpendicular to the pitch axis. The shaft has a torch mounting portion for mounting a welding torch at an end thereof. A controller is operably coupled to the actuators to cause the welding torch to execute a welding pattern.
Pipe joint, fluid control device, fluid control unit, semiconductor fabrication apparatus and method of forming pipe joint
A pipe joint includes a first member, a second member, a weld experiencing transverse contraction and joining a first outer cylindrical end portion and a second outer cylindrical end portion butted with their end faces meeting over the entire circumference, an annular sealed area produced by the transverse contraction of the weld causing a first pressing portion and a second pressing portion to be displaced toward each other, a heat transmission suppressing member arranged in a space delimited by a weld forming area and a to-be-sealed area, inside the first and second members assembled, to suppress transmission of heat applied in welding from the weld forming area to a to-be-sealed area, and a first stop ring fitted in an outer cylindrical surface of the heat transmission suppressing member to hold the heat transmission suppressing member against an inner surface of the first or the second member.
