The first housing surface includes a first mating geometry configured to mate with a first complementary geometry of a first modular surface of a first modular component of the welding system.
TIP-RETENTION DEVICE FOR USE WITH A WELDING SYSTEM
Apparatus, systems, and/or methods for providing welding systems or portions of welding systems that provide a tip-retention device that is configured to direct gas radially towards a contact tip.
WELDING WIRE PROCESSING STRUCTURE OF ARC WELDING ROBOT
There is provided a welding wire processing structure, of an arc welding robot, including a wire hose for feeding a welding wire to a wire feeder that is attached to a rear portion of an arm provided with a welding torch at a tip, from a rear end surface of the wire feeder to a forward side, and a connector for attaching the wire hose to the rear end surface, where the connector connects the wire hose in a direction intersecting a feed direction of the welding wire by the wire feeder.
Thread Connection for a Torch System
A connector component configured for coupling a consumable component to a plasma arc torch is provided. The connector component comprises a body having a proximal end and a distal end disposed along and defining a longitudinal axis. The connector component includes at least two engagement regions disposed radially about the longitudinal axis on a surface of the body. Each engagement region includes at least one engagement feature disposed on the surface of the body. The connector component also includes at least two free regions disposed radially about the longitudinal axis on the surface of the body. Each free region is radially located between a pair of the engagement regions and characterized by an absence of the engagement feature.
CONNECTING PLASMA ARC TORCHES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In some aspects, contact members to connect plasma torch leads to plasma cutting systems can include: a base portion; a set of ports within the base portion that include: a coolant supply port to convey a liquid coolant from the cutting system to a plasma arc torch connected to the contact member by the torch lead, a coolant return port: i) to convey return liquid coolant from the torch to the cutting system, and ii) to convey an operational current from the cutting system to the torch, at least one gas supply port to convey processing gases to the torch, and an ohmic contact connector; and a connector to couple the base portion to the cutting system and connect each of the ports and electrical connectors to respective complementary connections of the cutting system upon coupling to the cutting system.
Welding tool coupling having at least one magnet system and at least one short-circuit device, welding tool, and welding device
The invention relates to a welding tool coupling, in particular a hose-assembly interface or a welding torch handle, for connecting a welding tool (3), in particular a welding torch neck, to a supply line of a welding device, comprising a coupling device (2) for detachably coupling the welding tool (3) by means of a magnetic retaining force that can be switched on and off. According to the invention the coupling device (2) has at least one magnet system (10) and at least one short-circuit device, which can be moved in relation to each other between a switch-on position and a switch-off position in such a way that the magnetic flux generated by the magnet system (10) exits from the coupling device (2) in the switch-on position in such a way that the magnetic retaining force is generated and is at least partially short-circuited in the coupling device (2) by means of the short-circuit device in the switch-off position in such a way that the magnetic retaining force disappears. The invention further relates to a welding tool (3) for coupling to such a welding tool coupling, and a welding device having such a welding tool coupling.
WELDING INFORMATION PROVIDING DEVICE
A welding information providing device is proposed. The device can provide a high-quality image that can easily identify a welding surrounding environment in addition to a portion adjacent to welding light by synthesizing images obtained under various photographing conditions. The device can also improve welding quality by providing an efficient guiding to an operator with respect to a current welding operation state. The device can include a cartridge unit that is located on a main body and selectively shields welding light, at least one camera unit that faces outward and obtains a welding image frame of a welding operation, and a sensor unit that detects a degree of light in at least a welding operation area. The device can also include an image display and a processor that provides a welding image generated through the welding image frame to the image display unit.
Reduced Friction Rotating Coupler Assembly and quick disconnect for use with Welding devises
A rotating coupler assembly for use in welding torches that operates between 0 and 800 amps. The rotating coupler assembly allows for 360 degrees of rotation while keeping rotational friction at a minimum. The breakaway torque for the rotating coupler assembly is insignificant and the rotating coupler assembly can be rotated with little effort by hand. While the rotating coupler assembly minimizes rotational friction the design allow for rotating coupler assembly to continue to operate after 1-5 mm of wear on the contact surfaces. An embodiment of the rotating coupler assembly can be quickly disconnected from the unicable.
CABLE FOR ARC WELDER
An arc welder cable includes a resiliently flexible hose, an intermediate sheath, a plurality of conductors, and an outer sheath. The hose defines an axial passageway configured to permit passage of a welding wire and a shielding gas therethrough. The intermediate sheath circumscribes the hose such that the hose is disposed radially within the intermediate sheath. The intermediate sheath is made from an electrically-insulative material and is in sealing contact with an outer surface of the hose. The conductors are disposed circumferentially about the intermediate sheath and disposed radially outward of the intermediate sheath. The conductors extend along the intermediate sheath in a helical manner. The conductors are made from an electrically-conductive material. The outer sheath is made from an electrically-insulative material and circumscribes the conductors such that the conductors, the intermediate sheath, and the hose are disposed radially within the outer sheath.
