A semi-automatic torch trigger for a rotating power connector in use in a welding torch cables is provided. In some examples, a trigger mechanism is configured to transmit control signals through a transmission channel that is not subject to mechanical wear from rotational movement of the rotating power connector, providing reliable communication between a welding torch trigger and a welding power supply without breaking electrical contact or putting unnecessary strain on the welding cable, even as the welding torch rotates relative to the welding torch cable.

TIG welding torch body, TIG welding torch handle, and TIG welding torch having such a TIG welding torch body and TIG welding torch handle

A tungsten inert gas welding torch body, a TIG welding torch handle, and a TIG welding torch has a gas channel terminating in front of the distal end of a plug-in element in an inlet opening arranged on the shell side of the plug-in element, and a central inlet mouth at the distal end of the plug-in element terminating in front of the distal end of the plug-in element in a return opening on the shell side at the plug-in element. The TIG welding torch handle has a second channel arranged coaxially to the central channel, and a third channel arranged coaxially to the second channel. A connection is between the second channel and the third channel. The first channel has a mouth in the center of the receiving part, and each of the second and third channels has a mouth on the shell side of the receiving part.

A welding torch includes a first terminal zone provided with a welding electrode and a conveyor element associated with the electrode. The torch includes a first body connected to the electrode through a first conductor element and a second body connected to the conveyor element through a second conductor element. The torch includes a delivery way suited to convey a cooling fluid towards the first terminal zone and a return way for the cooling fluid coming from the terminal zone. One of the delivery way and the return way passes through the first body and the second body. It includes a tubular element made of an electrically insulating material having a first end inserted in a seat provided in the first body and a second end inserted in a seat provided in the second body.

Ultrasonic welded cable for a welding system

A system for transmitting power and current includes a power cable having stranded wires and an exposed end. The stranded wires are ultrasonically welded together. Ultrasonically welding the wires creates a bundle of wires at the exposed end that may be free from air pockets, reducing oxidation and improving the current path through the cable.

Tip-retention device for use with a welding system

Apparatus, systems, and/or methods for providing welding systems or portions of welding systems that provide a tip-retention device that is configured to direct gas radially towards a contact tip.

Modular welding system

A welding system includes power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power to weld power and a first housing surface. The first housing surface includes a first mating geometry configured to mate with a first complementary geometry of a first modular surface of a first modular component of the welding system.

Multi-process torch

Aspects of a welding-type cable and torch are provided. The welding-type cable includes a power conductor to conduct welding-type power and a weld torch interface on a distal end of the welding-type cable to attach a weld torch to the power conductor. The welding-type torch includes a power connector to transfer welding-type power between the welding-type torch and a power conductor of a welding-type cable that is detachably coupled to the power connector. An electrode to perform a welding-type operation using the welding-type power is also provided.

WELDING LEAD CONNECTOR AND WELDING LEAD CONNECTOR INCLUDING LOCKING MECHANISM

A male welding lead connector apparatus including a slidable member to block the male welding lead connector from rotating relative to a female welding lead connector when the two connectors are engaged with one another. A method of locking a male welding lead connector to a female welding lead connector using a special male welding lead connector including a slidable member to block the male welding lead connector from rotating relative to a female welding lead connector when the two connectors are engaged with one another.
