Straightening device for welding wire
09873162 · 2018-01-23 · ·

A straightening device for welding wire is provided with two sets of roll groups, having a plurality of straightening rolls with which bends in a welding wire are straightened by passing the welding wire through the two sets of roll groups. The plurality of straightening rolls configuring the roll groups, are arranged at a predetermined arrangement interval along a passing direction of the welding wire in such a way as to face with each other across a straightening path along which the welding wire passes, and the two sets of roll groups, are arranged so that the directions in which they face across the straightening path are different from each other. By configuring the straightening rolls by small-diameter rollers, adverse effects on the welding wire are suppressed, and the welding wire is straightened finely.

Welding wire conveyor device

A welding wire conveyor device (1) and a method for locking a pivotable roll receiver off the welding wire conveyor device (1). The device includes a drive roll receiver (11) and a pivotable pressure roll receiver (10). The pressure roll receiver (10) is coupled to a pivotable actuation mechanism (20) enabling movement to a pivoted position. The pressure roll receiver (10) may be locked in the pivoted position by a locking device (200).

Gasless, mechanized, field-welding of tubular structure

A system and method provide gasless, mechanized, field welding of an exterior of a tubular structure such as a pipeline, without the need for an enclosure. An embodiment consolidates some of the welding equipment on a skid for ease of transport to and from a remote worksite. The gasless weld may be achieved despite the presence of wind, by precisely controlling an arc voltage as disclosed. The footprint and weight of the system may be minimized, along with the associated labor, expense, and environmental impact otherwise incurred by conventional welding techniques using enclosures.

Welding electrode storage system and method

A system includes a welding power supply. The welding power supply includes circuitry configured to produce power for a welding operation. The welding power supply also includes a compartment interior to the welding power supply and configured to hold one or more welding electrodes. In addition, the welding power supply may include a covering configured to be removably disposed in an opening of the compartment to allow access to the welding electrodes in the compartment.
