A method for friction stir welding along a butt joint weld line (40). A welding device (70) includes a probe assembly (90) including at least a first and second probe device (100a, 100b). A first and second part (31a, 31b) to be joined along the weld line (40) are provided, wherein the parts are each formed as a laminate (1; 1) including at least a first layer (2a, 2b) formed with a first material and a second layer (5a, 5b) formed with a second material. The first and second materials have different material properties. The method friction stir welds of the parts using the welding device, wherein simultaneously the first probe device acts on the first layers and the second probe device acts on the second layers.

BAND FLASH BUTT WELDING MACHINE AND GROUP OF ACCESSORIES FOR A BAND FLASH BUTT WELDING MACHINE

Various embodiments relate to a band flash butt welding machine by which it is possible to weld band faces of band ends of at least one band, in particular a saw band, to each other. The band flash butt welding machine comprises clamping elements for clamping the band ends. Furthermore, the band flash butt welding machine comprises aligning elements for aligning the band ends. The second clamping elements can be moved by a drive relative to the first clamping elements in the direction of a longitudinal axis. Two aligning elements are fixedly connected to one another by a coupling device, in particular a bridge part. The coupling device defines the relative alignment of the aligning elements. The second clamping element can be moved relative to the two aligning elements. This design is advantageous for a changeover of the band flash butt welding machine for band ends having a different geometry.

PROCESS AND PLANT FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF REINFORCING BARS FOR PROFILED ELEMENTS FOR WINDOW/DOOR FRAMES

The process comprises the following phases: providing one first bar (2) and one second bar (3) made of one metallic material and extending along relevant longitudinal directions, each provided with a first ending surface (4) and with a second ending surface (5); cutting the first bar (2) to obtain one reinforcing bar (100) insertable in a relevant profiled element for window/door frames and a residual bar (7) provided with the second ending surface (5); positioning the second bar (3) aligned with the residual bar (7) with respect to a direction of forward movement (D) substantially parallel to said longitudinal directions, with the first ending surface (4) of the second bar (3) facing the second ending surface (5) of the residual bar (7); resistance butt welding of the second bar (3) and of the residual bar (7) carried out by means of current flow through the ending surfaces (4, 5) facing each other to obtain a welded bar (10).

WELDING SPATTER PROTECTION DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED CLEANING SYSTEM
20250269459 · 2025-08-28 · ·

A welding spatter protection device has a support structure, a movable structure delimiting a first internal cavity by internal side walls and movable by a first actuator between a lowered position, in which the first internal cavity is placed astride a welding zone, and a raised position, in which the first internal cavity is moved away from the welding zone, and a cleaning system having a scraper. Two second internal side walls interconnect two first internal side walls defining two concentric cylindrical surfaces. The scraper is connected to the movable structure by a support arm actuatable by a second actuator. Circumferential ends of the concentric cylindrical surfaces at an inlet mouth and at an internal stop position are radially aligned so that the scraper is always in contact with the concentric cylindrical surfaces, oriented so that a radially outermost cylindrical surface extends beyond the bottom wall, defining a shielding appendage.

BUSBAR CLAMPING APPARATUS

The busbar clamping apparatus includes a base member, a moving device, a first actuation part, a second actuation part, a drive device, and a control device. The first actuation part is mounted to the base member and arranged closer to the X+ side than the busbars that should be clamped. The second actuation part is mounted so as to be movable in the X direction relative to the base member and arranged closer to the X side than the busbars that should be clamped. The control device causes the moving device to move the base member toward the X side to move the first actuation part toward the X side, and then causes the drive device to move the second actuation part toward the X+ side. This allows the first actuation part and the second actuation part to clamp the busbars in the X direction.
