Friction stir welding method for structural steel and method of manufacturing joint for structural steel
A process of pre-heating treatment is performed such that steel sheets or plates as working materials are heated by a heating unit provided ahead of a rotational tool moving in a welding direction to precisely control the surface temperature, area, position and the like of a heating region in the process of pre-heating treatment when performing friction stir welding on structural steel.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WELDED CAVITY VALVE
A method for producing a cavity valve is provided. The method includes providing a valve body which has a cavity in the interior. The valve body has a circular opening having an opening edge surface on a bottom side. A circular valve cover with a cover edge surface is provided. Inductive heating of at least one of the opening edge surface or the cover edge surface takes place and then welding the valve body to the valve cover by friction welding of the opening edge surface to the cover edge surface.
FRICTION WELDING
A method for friction welding of inter alia coarse grain superalloy components, involving conditioning a shear zone of components to be welded by; a) pre-determining temperature profile for which the material of the shear zone of the components approaches viscoplasticity but does not undergo undesirable phase transformations, b) introducing friction at one or both surfaces of the components to be welded to provide a pre-defined quantum of energy sufficient to generate a peak temperature of the temperature profile at that surface whilst simultaneously applying pressure to the surfaces which is below a pressure which will cause upset at the surface, c) withdrawing the friction and/or pressure allowing the heat to disperse by conduction through the shear zone; d) after the temperature at the surface falls below peak temperature, repeating steps b) and c); and repeating step d) as necessary until the pre-determined temperature gradient is achieved throughout the shear zone.
Method for preparing multilayer metal composite pipe
A method for preparing a multilayer metal composite pipe includes steps of: internally and externally grinding blank pipes; cleaning oil stains; assembling a multilayer metal pipe; drawing to reduce a diameter; performing high-speed friction welding at the pipe ends; performing heat treatment; performing four-roller cross-rolling; straightening; performing two-roller cold-rolling; performing cold-drawing to reduce the diameter; performing cold-expansion to reduce the diameter; performing precise cold-rolling; degreasing; brightening; performing surface grinding; cleaning dust; detecting multilayer metal interface bonding; detecting flaws; testing metal structure performance; and sizing and packaging. By cycling the cold-drawing, the cold-expansion, and the precision cold-rolling, key indicators such as product dimensional accuracy, surface quality, material properties, and crystal grain size can be collaboratively controlled, so as to achieve higher accuracy, better performance, and more outstanding extreme specifications. The present invention solves the problem of inconsistent extension due to differences in metal properties.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CYLINDER BLOCK AND CYLINDER BLOCK
A bridge member is installed in an opening of a water jacket, and a probe of a friction stir welding tool, which rotates about an axis parallel to a cylinder axis, is pressed against a central part of an upper surface of the bridge member. The probe is kept pressed against the central part of the upper surface for a predetermined time to cause side surfaces of the bridge member to expand and come into contact with both a cylinder wall and an outer wall. The probe is moved from the central part of the upper surface to the outer wall, or the cylinder wall, while the probe is kept pressed against the upper surface, thereby friction-stir welding the outer wall, or the cylinder wall, with the bridge member to each other, and after that, the probe is removed off the top deck.
Connector arranged between two cylindrical energy storage assemblies
The invention relates to a module comprising at least two electrical energy storage assemblies (20), each storage assembly comprising: a tubular element (21) comprising a so-called side face (23), and at least one cover (50) for covering one of the ends of the tubular element. Said module is characterized in that it also comprises a connecting body (60) for electrically connecting the two assemblies, the connecting body comprising at least one portion, each portion being separate from at least one of the storage assemblies (20), and the connecting body extends between the two storage assemblies such that the height of each storage assembly connected to the connecting body is equal to the height of a storage assembly that does not have a connecting body.
Linear friction welding apparatus and method
The apparatus and method allows multiple components to be simultaneously bonded to a central shaft or tube using linear friction welding in a single welding process. The method involves simultaneously pressing the work pieces radially against the central shaft or tube at the desired locations while the shaft is vibrated axially. The weld is facilitated by the use of a linear friction welding machine, which includes a number of fixtures and press assemblies to hold and press the various work pieces against the central shaft or tube and a vibrating assembly for vibrating the central shaft or tube.

Disclosed is a coupling member that enables a joint between a wooden member and a mating member to absorb vibration energy, and a method for producing the same and a joint structure using the same. The metal coupling member is embedded in the wooden member. The wooden member is connected with a mating member by the coupling member. The coupling member includes a metal rod-like main body portion to be embedded in the wooden member, and an inner rod portion protruding from the main body portion. The inner rod portion axially extends from a protruding portion thereof to a predetermined depth in the main body portion, has a periphery separated from the main body portion to allow axial displacement of the inner rod portion relative to the main body portion, and is integrally connected to the main body portion at the deepest part thereof.
