UTILITY CART
20210362762 · 2021-11-25 ·

A utility cart is an apparatus that allows a user to easily carry and access items which are placed inside of the utility car. The utility cart includes a carriage, a base, and a wheel assembly. The carriage further includes a plurality of elongated supports and a closed-shape frame. The plurality of elongated supports and the closed-shape frame define a funnel-like structural shape of the carriage which allows a user to easily access items which are placed inside of the utility cart. The base provides a structural foundation for the utility cart and the wheel assembly is integrated into the base. The wheel assembly provides a conveyance means which allows the utility cart to be translated along the ground or other surface.

Method for Producing a Functional Structure and Component
20210362275 · 2021-11-25 ·

A method includes producing a functional structure on an aluminum surface with a local laser treatment of an aluminum surface. The local laser treatment is carried out with a pulsed laser system having a pulse duration of from 10 ns to 100 ns. The average power of the pulsed laser system is less than 5 kW.

Laser Ablation and Laser Processing Fume and Contaminant Capture System
20210362270 · 2021-11-25 ·

Laser ablation and laser processing fume and contaminant capture systems are disclosed herein. An example system includes a housing forming a partial enclosure that is configured to be placed against a target surface, a transparent window being integrated into a top surface of the housing, the transparent window being configured to allow for the transmission of a laser scan pattern to the target surface, and an outlet port for establishing a negative pressure inside the housing. Air is drawn into the housing through a first inlet port, the air carries contaminants created during ablation of the target surface by the laser scan pattern out of the outlet port.

System and method of additive manufacturing

A method is disclosed for additive manufacturing a three-dimensional object layer-by-layer including depositing a layer of material on a bed surface or a previously deposited layer of the object to form the object layer-by-layer; providing energy to the material after each layer is deposited with the energy being provided by an energy source that forms an energized beam directed at the material; altering a property of a gas surrounding the material and through which the energized beam extends to alter a property of the object constructed from the material; melting the material with the energized beam to form a melted pool of liquefied material; and allowing the material to solidify to bond the material to a previous layer of material of the object.

Hollow composite magnetic member, process for producing same, and fuel ejection valve

There is provided a hollow composite magnetic member obtained by partially reforming a hollow member which is formed of a ferromagnetic material containing Cr of 15 mass % or more and 18 mass % or less, in which the reformed portion includes an alloy containing Cr of 8 mass % or more and 18 mass % and Ni of 6.5 mass % or more and 50 mass % or less. Accordingly, a hollow composite magnetic member having a small width of the nonmagnetic portion and a fuel injection valve having the same can be provided.

Laser crystallization system and laser crystallization method

A laser crystallization system includes a transfer part that transfers a substrate on which an amorphous silicon thin film is deposited into a chamber, a laser irradiation part that irradiates an excimer laser to the substrate for crystallization of the amorphous silicon thin film in the chamber, a stage that supports the substrate in the chamber, a measuring part that measures a light transmittance value of the substrate, and a controller that controls the laser irradiation part to irradiate the excimer laser to the substrate when the light transmittance value is equal to or lower than a reference transmittance value and controls the laser irradiation part not to irradiate the excimer laser to the substrate when the light transmittance value is higher than the reference transmittance value.

Additive Manufacturing System And Method

An additive manufacturing system including a two-dimensional energy patterning system for imaging a powder bed is disclosed. Improved structure formation, part creation and manipulation, use of multiple additive manufacturing systems, and high throughput manufacturing methods suitable for automated or semi-automated factories are also disclosed.

Ball bearing and method for manufacturing same

A ball bearing has an outer circumferential surface of an inner ring subjected to a surface treatment by laser cladding in a circumferential direction, forming an annular first build-up layer with which a plurality of balls 4 is brought into contact so that the balls are rolled in the circumferential direction (first build-up layer formation step). An inner circumferential surface of an outer ring is subjected to a surface treatment by laser cladding in a circumferential direction, thereby forming an annular second build-up layer with which the plurality of balls contacts so that the balls can be rolled in the circumferential direction (second build-up layer formation step).

Part Manipulation Using Printed Manipulation Points

A manipulator device such as a robot arm that is capable of increasing manufacturing throughput for additively manufactured parts, and allows for the manipulation of parts that would be difficult or impossible for a human to move is described. The manipulator can grasp various permanent or temporary additively manufactured manipulation points on a part to enable repositioning or maneuvering of the part.

Enclosed additive manufacturing system

A method of additive manufacture is disclosed. The method may include restricting, by an enclosure, an exchange of gaseous matter between an interior of the enclosure and an exterior of the enclosure. The method may further include running multiple machines within the enclosure. Each of the machines may execute its own process of additive manufacture. While the machines are running, a gas management system may maintain gaseous oxygen within the enclosure at or below a limiting oxygen concentration for the interior.
