Sealing device of a laser machining head
An integrated sealing device of a laser machining head for sealing between a hollow cage member and a conduit of the laser machining head is described. The hollow cage member includes a first contact surface and a first opening therethrough. The first contact surface includes a substantially planar portion and an elastically deformable sealing lip extending therefrom. The conduit includes a second contact surface and a second opening therethrough. The sealing lip of the first contact surface is configured to contact the second contact surface to form a seal between the hollow cage member and the conduit.
Laser cutting head for machine tool
A laser cutting head powered by a laser emission apparatus including optical transmission devices and associated with a cutting machine tool, includes a collimation device to collimate a laser beam coming from the laser emission apparatus, a focusing device to focus a collimated laser beam leaving the collimation devices, and a casing to house the focusing unit. The focusing unit includes one focusing lens and support devices to house and hold the focusing lens and move it along an adjustment direction within the casing in order to vary a focal point of the laser beam leaving the focusing lens. The laser cutting head includes a cooling unit secured to the casing and heat conducting devices used to connect the support devices with the cooling unit in order to extract the heat generated by the laser beam crossing the focusing lens by thermal conduction from the support devices and the focusing lens.
Self-retaining system having laser-cut retainers
Self-retaining suture systems including a suture thread bearing a plurality of laser-cut retainers are disclosed. A laser system allows the creation of retainers and self-retaining suture systems in configurations which are difficult and/or impossible to achieve using mechanical cutting technology.
Laser processing head for laser-wire build-up welding
A laser beam is directed onto a pyramid-shaped element, wherein the beam is directed onto at least three reflecting surfaces and the respective reflected partial beams are incident on reflecting surfaces arranged on an optics carrier element. The partial beams are aligned such that they intersect in a common plane. An internal wire feed is arranged in a housing, having an outlet nozzle for a fusible wire-shaped material, which material is using the energy of the partial beams. The outlet nozzle is arranged in front of the plane in which the reflected partial beams intersect. The pyramid-shaped element and the reflecting surfaces are formed on a carrier element, which is arranged in such a way that it is displaceable following the outlet nozzle in two perpendicular directions to the optical axis of the laser beam or perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the wire-shaped material.
Protective glass with transponder and installation aid and associated laser tool
This disclosure relates to protective glass, for installation in laser tools of laser processing machines, comprising a transponder in which data relating to the protective glass are stored in a contactlessly readable fashion and/or can be contactlessly stored. A grip carrying the transponder is fastened as an installation aid directly on circumferential surface of the protective glass.
PROCESSING NOZZLE AND OPTICAL MACHINING APPARATUS
Ejection and stop of a powder flow are switched while maintaining a once generated steady flow without stopping it. A processing nozzle includes a supply source of a fluid containing a powder, a first channel through which the fluid supplied from the supply source passes, a second channel that supplies the fluid to an ejection port of the nozzle, a third channel that releases the fluid outside the nozzle, and a switch that causes the first channel and the second channel to communicate with each other when supplying the fluid to the ejection port, and causes the first channel and the third channel to communicate with each other when not supplying the fluid to the ejection port.
NOZZLE ADAPTER FOR LASER CUTTING HEAD
A laser cutting head uses a nozzle and gas flow to perform laser cutting or the like. The laser processing and the gas flow passes from an end of the housing. A sensor assembly affixed to the end of the housing has a first through which the laser processing passes and an orifice from which the gas flow passes. A conductive adapter affixes to the sensor assembly and has a passage through which the laser processing passes. The nozzle affixes in a receptacle in an end of the conductive adapter. A collar disposed about the adapter defining one or more gas flow passages therethrough. A cover is disposed between the sensor assembly and the collar and encloses a space communicating the gas flow from the orifice to the one or more flow passages of the collar.
PROCESSING MACHINE
A processing machine includes a laser irradiation device that emits an annular laser beam, and a wire feeding device that feeds a wire from an inside of the annular laser beam. When a workpiece irradiation proportion parameter (WIP) represented by an equation WIP=P.sub.wp/P (P.sub.wp: laser beam power introduced onto a workpiece surface when the wire exists in an irradiation region of the laser beam, P: the laser beam power introduced onto the workpiece surface when the wire does not exist in the irradiation region) is defined, a control device controls the wire feeding device so that a wire end abuts on the workpiece surface at a beginning of additive manufacturing. The control device determines initial power P.sub.0 based on the WIP at the beginning of the additive manufacturing, and controls the laser irradiation device so that the workpiece is irradiated with the laser beam at the initial power P.sub.0.
