Accessory and Kit for Welding and Cutting Devices
A welding accessory that allows a welder to easily maintain the proper electrical arc gap between the welding torch and the surface being welded, and that improves the consistency of the shield gas plume by reducing the variation of gap between the shield gas nozzle and the surface being welded while in motion is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the welding accessory is comprised of a body portion, a slidable and rotatable repositionable arm; and a wheel attached to one end of said repositionable arm. A kit that comprises the welding accessory of the present invention and other accessories for welding and/or oxy-fuel cutting is also disclosed.
PORTABLE AND COMPACT WELDING FUME EXTRACTOR
One embodiment is a combined welder and fume extractor system having a chassis assembly along with a controller and a user interface which are substantially within the chassis assembly to control operation of the system and allow a user to interact with the system. A filter compartment within the chassis assembly has at least one filter to extract welding fume particles from a stream of air forced through the filter compartment. An extractor compartment within the chassis assembly has at least one fan to force the stream of air through the filter compartment. A welding power source compartment within the chassis assembly has welding power electronics circuitry to generate welding output power for a welding operation. A wire feeder compartment within the chassis assembly has a spool of a welding wire electrode and a wire feeder to feed the welding wire electrode from the spool.
TOOL BASED WELDING TECHNIQUE MONITORING SYSTEMS WITH DETACHABLE SENSOR MODULES
Described herein are examples of tool based welding technique monitoring systems that provide an inexpensive, intuitive, and relatively robust way of tracking an orientation of a welding-type tool, and providing welding technique feedback based on the orientation. The system requires no sensors apart from a simple and/or relatively inexpensive sensor module that can be mounted to travel with the welding-type tool, which makes the system highly portable. Additionally, calibration of the system can be accomplished with fast, simple, intuitive calibration techniques.
Cutting torch guide assembly
A cutting torch guide assembly for cutting beveled openings includes a first rod that is hollow. A first sleeve is positioned around and slidably positionable on the first rod. A pin is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from the first sleeve. The pin is configured to couple to a metal substrate to define an axis of a penetration that is to be cut into the metal substrate. A second rod is positioned in and selectively extensible from the first rod. The first sleeve is positionable to select a diameter of the penetration on an opposing side of the metal substrate. The second rod is positionable relative to the first rod to select a thickness of the metal substrate. A ring coupled to the second rod is configured to insert a nozzle of a cutting torch so that the nozzle is positioned to cut a beveled penetration into the substrate.
Ergonomic welding arm with a plurality of arm links and joints
An ergonomic welding arm (1) includes a plurality of arm links (14, 20, 24) coupled by a plurality of joints (12, 18, 22). Each of the plurality of joints (12, 18, 22) is configured to allow the plurality of arm links (14, 20, 24) to be rotated about an axis with respect to a directly adjacent arm link (14, 20, 24). A first end of the welding arm (1) is configured to engage a support (4) for supporting the welding arm (1). A second end of the welding arm (1) is configured to engage a welding torch (10).
PORTABLE WELDING SYSTEM WITH A MAIN CASE HAVING MECHANICAL ATTACHMENTS MECHANISM FOR FACILITATING COUPLING
A portable welding system including a main case housing a primary welding device that facilitates a welding function of the portable welding apparatus, and a modular welding component removeably attached to a bottom of the portable welding apparatus, the modular welding component comprising a component case housing a secondary welding device that supplements the primary welding device.
WELDING GUN STABILIZER
The present disclosure provides a stabilizer for a welding gun, wherein said stabilizer may comprise a plurality of sections hinged together to allow rotation with respect to each other and in connection with a user's hand. The stabilizer may comprise a holder designed to accept the end of a welding gun and a positioning device at one end to minimize movement of the welding gun. The stabilizer attaches to the user's hand and allows precise and repeatable welding movements. The stabilizer also allows a user to push fingers slightly, instead of constantly gripping the trigger.
SOLDERING APPARATUS
The present application discloses a soldering apparatus including a driving portion for moving a soldering iron to perform soldering on a surface of an electronic board including soldering regions. The soldering regions have a base region and at least one replication region existing at a position different from the base region. The replication region has an arrangement pattern that is the same as an arrangement pattern of a soldering position in the base region. The soldering apparatus includes an input portion for receiving input of positional relationship data, which represents a positional relationship between the base region and the at least one replication region, and for receiving base pattern data, which represents the arrangement pattern of the soldering position in the base region. The soldering apparatus includes a controller which causes the driving portion to move the soldering iron based on the base pattern data and the positional relationship data in a soldering operation.
SOLDERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CREATING PROGRAM
The present application discloses a soldering apparatus including a soldering iron having an iron tip that melts solder, a driving portion that moves the soldering iron, and an operation portion displaced to instruct the driving portion of a moving direction of the soldering iron. While an operation on the operation portion is performed by a user, the driving portion moves the soldering iron in a direction corresponding to a displacement direction of the operation portion.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL LASER APPLICATION FOR HANDHELD LASER WELDING TORCHES AND LASER WELDING EQUIPMENT
Systems and methods for laser welding are disclosed. A laser welding system includes a manually operated laser welding torch to direct laser power to a workpiece to generate a puddle during a laser welding operation. The welding system includes a controller to regulate activation and regulation of the laser power based on user inputs, sensor inputs, and/or synergic control of a laser power source.
