ARCUATE BOOM FOR FRICTION STIR WELDING OF ARCUATE WORK PIECES
The present disclosure is directed to a Friction Stir Welding device for welding one or more arcuate work pieces. The device including an arcuate boom, a friction stir welding head, and a saddle operatively coupling the welding head to the arcuate boom for moving the welding head with respect to the arcuate boom. The saddle may be coupled to the arcuate boom via a drive mechanism for moving the saddle, and the welding head that is coupled thereto, with respect to the arcuate boom. The welding head may also be provided with three degrees of freedom with respect to the arcuate boom so that the welding head can rotate, tilt and move linearly with respect to the arcuate boom.
Fabrication system and method of using the same
A fabrication system may generally comprise an x-y positioning assembly, a clamping head to receive an end effector, wherein the clamping head is coupled to the x-y positioning assembly, a z positioning assembly, a platform including a surface that is rigid and substantially planar, wherein the platform is coupled to the z positioning assembly, and a controller operably coupled to the x-y positioning assembly, end effector, z positioning assembly, and platform. Methods of using the fabrication system are also described.

The system includes a plasma strand cutter. The plasma strand cutter includes a plasma torch, the plasma torch including a pivot and an attachment point and an actuating device, the actuating device mounted on the plasma torch at the attachment point. The plasma strand cutter also includes a power supply, the power supply connected to the plasma torch and the actuating device. The system includes a strand puller, the strand puller paired with the plasma strand cutter and a platform, the platform positioned so as to provide a rest for or in close proximity to the strand.
TIP CHANGER FOR SPOT WELDING MACHINE
A tip changer for a spot welding machine includes a first rotation body that has an opening capable of accommodating a welding tip and is capable of rotating around the opening; a second rotation body that is disposed concentrically with the first rotation body and is rotated relative to the first rotation body; and a plurality of nail pieces that are disposed at equal angular intervals along an imaginary circle of the rotation bodies, are swingably connected to the first rotation body by a first connection mechanism, are swingably connected to the second rotation body by a second connection mechanism on a more radially inner side of the second rotation body than the first connection mechanism, and include contact portions on a more radially inner side of the second rotation body than a second connection mechanism.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FASTENING INSULATION
Apparatus and methods for fastening insulation to a metal panel are disclosed. One apparatus includes a frame; a capacitor discharge welder; a panel support bar, preferably being non-marring of a metal panel; a hopper for receiving weld pins and the weld pins; PLC controls; and a grounding clamp. Another apparatus includes a weld table, a weld pin hopper, a weld head, a welder power supply, a carriage for the weld head, a motor for moving the weld head on the carriage and a motor for moving the carriage the length of the weld table.
QUICK-CHANGE CABLES AND WELDING TORCH SYSTEMS HAVING QUICK-CHANGE CABLES
A housing for securing a welding torch comprising a first aperture at a first end of the housing to receive a welding torch neck, a second aperture at a second end of the housing to receive a welding torch cable, and at least one fastener mounted on an external surface of the housing, wherein the fastener is configured to bias the welding torch cable toward the first aperture to secure the welding torch cable when the fastener is engaged.
MULTI-AXIS METALLIC PROCESSING BEVEL HEAD
A bevel head assembly is shown capable of fine motor control of a cutting tool (for instance, a laser or plasma cutter) in three simultaneous dimensions of movement. A rack-and-pinion system moves the bevel head assembly and cutter up and down in the Z-axis while a rotational motor attached to the rack-and-pinion system moves the bevel head assembly in a first rotational (X) axis, and a linear actuator pivotally connected to the cutting tool is mounted to the rotational motor to move the bevel head assembly in a second (Y) rotational axis.
CIRCULAR HOLE CUTTING TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A hole cutting apparatus for cutting a hole in a tubular structure, which includes a center shaft, a slide mount rotatably attached to the center shaft, a slide rail slidably attached to the slide mount; a cutter attachable to the slide rail so as to move with the slide rail, and a cutter height roller attached to the cutter. The cutter height roller is structured and arranged to maintain the cutter at a distance from a cutting surface of the tubular structure as the hole is cut.
Horn fixing device and horn fixing method of secondary battery tap ultrasonic welding device
Provided is a horn fixing device of an ultrasonic welding device for a secondary battery tab, the horn fixing device including an amplifier for ultrasonic welding of the secondary battery tab, a fixing block member having an amplifier through hole formed therein and configured to allow the amplifier to be installed therethrough, the fixing block member having a pad insertion space part formed at an upper portion of the amplifier through hole, wherein the pas insertion space allows an amplifier compression member to be installed therein, and the amplifier compression member installed in the pad insertion space part so as to compress the amplifier placed in the amplifier through hole, and a setting block member installed on one surface of the fixing block member to adjust an angle of the amplifier. The horn fixing device has an effect of uniformly pressing the amplifier by a press pad unit.
Automatic welding machine
Automatic welding machine includes: a welding torch mounted to a link actuation device set on a mount; and a one-or-more-axes linear motion actuator which causes the link actuation device to advance and retract relative to the mount. The link actuation device includes: a proximal end side link hub disposed on the mount; a distal end side link hub to which the welding torch is mounted; and three or more link mechanisms configured to couple the distal end side link hub to the proximal end side link hub. Each link mechanism includes proximal side and distal side end link members and an intermediate link member. Two or more link mechanisms are each provided with a posture changing actuator which arbitrarily changes the posture of the distal end side link hub relative to the proximal end side link hub.
