PIPE PROCESSING TOOL WITH PIPE DEFORMATION MEMBERS
A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.

A processing apparatus has: a light irradiation apparatus that irradiates a surface of an object with a processing light; a first position change apparatus that changes a position of at least one of the object and an irradiation area that is formed on the surface of the object by the light irradiation apparatus; and a control apparatus that controls the first position change apparatus to form a structure for reducing a frictional resistance of the surface of the object to a fluid by irradiating the surface of the object with the processing light while changing the position of at least one of the irradiation area and the object to change a thickness of a part of the object.
WEAVING CONTROL METHOD AND WEAVING CONTROL SYSTEM
A weaving control method in fillet welding. On a surface perpendicular to a welding direction, a position of the welding torch is set such that a weaving reference line passes through a base point on a weld line, and at least five fixed end points are set, and positions of the fixed end points are set such that one or more of the fixed end points are provided on each of both sides across the weaving reference line and a reference end point a being on the weaving reference line and having the shortest distance between a tip and a base metal is provided. The weaving operation is performed such that the welding torch moves between the fixed end points along with a trajectory forming a polygon when viewed from the welding direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
In a method of applying a weld to a target surface, a guide rail arrangement is attached to the target, the guide rail arrangement including at least one guide rail. A weld head carriage having a carriage housing, a rail follower assembly, and a sonotrode is movably mounted to the guide rail arrangement so that the follower assembly engages each guide rail for movement there-along. The weld head carriage is positioned adjacent the target surface, feedstock material is deposited onto the target surface, and the sonotrode is extended to engage the deposited feedstock material and apply a welding force to the feedstock material and the target. Relative movement between the carriage and the guide rail arrangement is initiated and ultrasonic vibrations are conducted into the feedstock material and the target, thereby welding the feedstock material to the target surface.

Provided is a configurable handle for a work equipment. The work equipment, which may be a welding power source, can comprise a body, and a power conversion circuitry within the body. The power conversion circuitry is configured to convert input power to welding-type power. The work equipment comprises one or more handles attached to the body for physical manipulation of the work equipment, where at least one of the handles is configured to be oriented to any of a plurality of different positions.
Roller for internal pipe welder
Disclosed herein is a rotational roller apparatus for use with a pipeline unit. The pipeline unit is received in a pipeline for welding and/or inspection. The rotational roller is attached to and is able to support at least a portion of the weight of the pipeline unit. The rotational roller unit also includes an extension member and a reduced friction base. The reduced friction base is attached to an end of the extension member so that the rotational roller has a retracted and an extended configuration. In the extended configuration, the reduced friction base contacts an interior of the pipeline and supports at least a portion of the weight of the pipeline unit and thereby allows the unit to be rotated about a longitudinal axis within the pipeline.

A movement support includes a base. An air inlet is formed in the base. A drainage plate is installed on the base. A first heat dissipating flow channel communicated with the air inlet is formed in the base on one side of the drainage plate. A second heat dissipating flow channel communicated with the air inlet is formed in the base on the other side of the drainage plate. The first heat dissipating flow channel and the second heat dissipating flow channel between the drainage plate and the air inlet are communicated with each other.
