Method for producing a cutting tool, and cutting tool
A method for producing a cutting tool is described. This method includes the production of a tool body of the cutting tool by means of a generative production method. At least one coolant cavity that has, at least in segments, an essentially triangular cross section is in this case provided in the tool body. Moreover, a cutting tool produced by means of this method is presented. Also proposed is a cutting tool having at least one coolant cavity running therein, wherein the coolant cavity has, at least in segments, an essentially triangular cross section and the cutting tool is produced, at least in segments, by means of a generative production method.
Method for assembling textile adhesive tapes
A method for assembling cable wrapping tapes. From an adhesive tape parent roll, strip-like adhesive tapes (11), each having two cut edges (12a) on the sides, are produced from a textile material which has an adhesive coating (12) on one side, by cutting in the drawing direction of the parent roll. The cutting is performed using an ultrasound-excited cutting tool (1) and wherein the cutting is performed using a cooled cutting tool (1). An adhesive tape (11), having a strip-like textile carrier material (13) and an adhesive coating (12) applied to one side and two cut edges (12a) on the sides. The cut edges (12a) are created by ultrasound cutting, and the textile carrier material (13) of the carrier is fused to its cut edges (12a). No adhesive coating (12) exists on the cut edges (12a); which are free of lint and threads.
MODULAR CUTTING TOOL BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A cutting tool body includes a first member and a second member, both having a substantially cylindrical shape, and arranged such that a tool body central axis coincides with a central axis of each of the first and the second members. The first member has a tool characteristic of a first magnitude and the second member has the tool characteristic of a second magnitude, different from the first magnitude. The cutting tool body includes a transition member arranged between the first and second members and connected at a first end to the first member and at a second end to the second member. The tool characteristic in the transition member is of the first magnitude at the first end and of the second magnitude at the second end. The transition member has a transition region between the first and the second ends in which the tool characteristic transforms from the first magnitude to the second magnitude.
MANUFACTURE OF A DENTAL TOOL
A method for manufacturing a dental or medical tool the method comprising the steps of positioning a pre-fluted blank 14 including a stem 24 and a shank 22 within a machine 30, using a probe to identify a position and/or an orientation of at least one flute 26 of the pre-fluted blank 14 and/or the position and/or orientation of an orientation indicator 28 of the pre-fluted blank 14, and using the machine 30 to form a cutting end region 36 at the end of the stem 24 of the pre-fluted blank 14 remote from the shank 22, the flute 26 extending into the cutting end region 36, the machine 30 being controlled to ensure that the cutting end region 36 is correctly orientated relative to the flutes 26 of the pre-fluted blank 14.
DIAMOND TOOL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DIAMOND TOOL
A diamond tool comprising a tool shank and a tool head, which is fixed on the tool shank and which is formed by a layer of material interspersed with diamonds at least in sections, the layer of material interspersed with diamonds at least in sections being directly integrally bonded to the tool shank by an electroplating deposition process and the tool head having a recess on the front side, so that in cross-section the tool head has the form of a circular ring in the area of the free end, the tool head forming a hollow milling cutter and a wall forming the hollow milling cutter and having the form of a circular ring consisting only of a nickel-diamond material that is grown by electroplating.
