Feed unit
A feed unit is used to feed connection elements from a receiving position to a transfer position along a feed direction. The feed unit has a receiving part to which each connection element can be fed individually. A head piece is movably mounted in the receiving part and has a receiving region for the nuts, and a thrust unit to move the head piece. The head piece is rotated from a first rotational position into a second rotational position, being reached in an intermediate position, by a rotary device. A slider element moves relative to the head piece out of the intermediate position into a transfer position within the head piece such that the nuts are brought out of the head piece into the transfer position. The rotary device has a mechanical forced guidance unit which includes a control sleeve with a curved path into which a control element engages.
COUPLING MEMBER HEAD
A coupling member head includes a holder configured to hold a coupling member at an end portion on a coupling target member side in an axial direction and configured to approach or separate from a coupling target member, a pair of electrodes, tips of the electrodes being positioned closer to the coupling target member side than a coupling member holding region of the holder, and a retraction mechanism configured to move the electrode to a radial outside of the holder when the holder approaches the coupling target member.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING MULTI-COMPONENT OBJECTS
A method to produce multi-component objects, including a first component and a second component assembled to it, provides to feed the first component to a loading station, to feed the second component to the same loading station and then to assemble them so as to produce the multi-component object.
Fastener delivery system
A fastener delivery system includes an escapement mechanism configured to control dispensing of associated fasteners located in a column one associated fastener at a time and a rotate and present apparatus operable with the escapement mechanism. The apparatus is configured to rotate between a fastener receiving position and a fastener loading position. In the fastener receiving position the apparatus is adapted to receive each associated fastener released from the escapement mechanism, and in the fastener loading position the apparatus is configured to present each associated fastener to an associated fastener installation device. The escapement mechanism is adjustable in a height direction relative to the apparatus.
PART STOPPING/PASSING UNIT, AND THREAD FASTENING DEVICE
Provided is apart stopping/passing unit for apart including a unit main body having a part passage, an opening/closing member configured to open and close the part passage, and an attracting mechanism. The opening/closing member includes a stopper surface for stopping a part and a passing hole for allowing the part to pass therethrough. The attracting mechanism is configured to position the part by an attracting force when the stopper surface takes a part stopping position, and to allow the part to pass by elimination of an attraction force when the passing hole takes a part passing position.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SETTING A CONNECTING ELEMENT ON A WORKPIECE
A device for setting a connecting element on a workpiece includes a setting unit having a setting head which is movable in a feed direction into a working position, the connecting element can be fastened on the workpiece by the setting head, and a feed unit can feed the connecting element to the setting head. The feed unit is movable in the feed direction from an initial position into an intermediate position for transferring a connecting element to the setting head. A method for setting a connecting element on a workpiece by using the device is also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TOP MOUNT WITH BUSHING
A system and method for manufacturing a top mount for a vehicle suspension includes providing a top mount body having a bushing opening and a plurality of stud holes, a plurality of knurled studs, and a bushing having a thermoplastic outer shell, a rubber core, and a central washer. The knurled studs are inserted in the stud holes of the top mount body. Then, substantially simultaneously, a pressure is applied to the knurled studs to press the knurled studs into the top mount body to crimp the knurled studs in the stud holes of the top mount body, and to insert the bushing into the bushing opening of the top mount body.
Device for positioning and supplying fixing elements
A method for supplying, positioning and processing fixing elements using a transport means which moves the fixing elements from a starting position to a processing position whereby the individual fixing elements are introduced into a chuck provided with two clamping jaws, are held by the clamping jaws in an engaging position and, once the chuck has been positioned, are taken up from this position by a driving element and the chuck presses them against a locating device and a connection is made to a component part by the driving element when the chuck is opened, wherein the upward motion of the chuck, while feeding the fixing element to the locating device, prevents the supply of further fixing elements to the chuck.
TOOL AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING A RUNNER TO/FROM A SHAFT ASSEMBLY
The present invention generally relates to an innovative tool for connecting or disconnecting a runner to/from a shaft assembly. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for carrying out such operations using the tool. Advantageously, connecting/disconnecting operations can occur without having to work under a suspended load, as the tool may be activated for supporting the runner remotely from a location outside a runner footprint.
