Shank-fastener apparatuses and methods for joining panels
A shank-fastener apparatus comprises a shank-fastener housing, a shank-fastener turret, an indexing-pin assembly, a drill, and a shank-fastener delivery assembly. The shank-fastener turret is supported by the shank-fastener housing and is selectively rotatable relative to the shank-fastener housing about a shank-fastener-turret rotation axis (A). The indexing-pin assembly is supported by the shank-fastener housing and is selectively movable relative to the shank-fastener housing between an indexing-pin-assembly extended position and an indexing-pin-assembly retracted position along an indexing-pin-assembly axis (B) that is parallel to the shank-fastener-turret rotation axis (A). The drill is supported by the shank-fastener turret and is selectively movable relative to the shank-fastener turret along a drill axis (C) that is parallel to the shank-fastener-turret rotation axis (A). The shank-fastener delivery assembly also supported by the shank-fastener turret.
Receiver-fastener apparatuses and systems for joining panels
A receiver-fastener apparatus comprises a receiver-fastener housing, a receiver-fastener turret, an indexing-collet assembly, an anvil, a receiver-fastener delivery assembly, and a swager assembly. The receiver-fastener turret is selectively rotatable relative to the receiver-fastener housing about a receiver-fastener-turret rotation axis (Z). The indexing-collet assembly is selectively movable relative to the receiver-fastener housing between an indexing-collet-assembly extended position and an indexing-collet-assembly retracted position along an indexing-collet-assembly axis (Y) that is parallel to the receiver-fastener-turret rotation axis (Z). The anvil is selectively movable relative to the receiver-fastener turret along an anvil axis (X) that is parallel to the receiver-fastener-turret rotation axis (Z). The receiver-fastener delivery assembly is configured to operatively position receiver fasteners for operative placement on shank fasteners, corresponding to the receiver fasteners. The swager assembly is movable relative to the receiver-fastener turret along a swaging axis (W) that is parallel to the receiver-fastener-turret rotation axis (Z).
SUPPLY ROD FOR SHAFT-LIKE COMPONENT
A projection portion is formed on a distal end surface of a supply rod with which a surface of a flange is to be brought into close contact. A circular-arc receiving surface fitting an outer peripheral portion is formed at a boundary portion between the distal end surface and the projection portion. One side of the circular-arc receiving surface is continuous with the distal end surface, and another side of the circular-arc receiving surface is continuous with a regulation inner surface formed on the projection portion in a state of being opposed to the distal end surface. With this, a receiving groove is formed, and a control gap is defined between the regulation inner surface and the flange. The close contact of the surface with the distal end surface is achieved with a magnet of an advancing/retreating type provided in the supply rod.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING A FOUNDATION TRUSS
A system and method for forming a foundation truss for a box spring or mattress foundation frame includes a first truss rail assembly station having a series of block feeders, a top rail hopper and a filler strip hopper that received stacks of truss components such as blocks, top rails and filler strips and feed such truss components into stacked registration. The stacked truss components are moved into engagement with a series of staplers that secure the filler strips, top rails and blocks together to form first truss rail portions, which are then fed to a second truss rail assembly station where a bottom rail is automatically applied thereto.
Coupling member head
A coupling member head includes a holder configured to hold a coupling member at an end portion on a coupling target member side in an axial direction and configured to approach or separate from a coupling target member, a pair of electrodes, tips of the electrodes being positioned closer to the coupling target member side than a coupling member holding region of the holder, and a retraction mechanism configured to move the electrode to a radial outside of the holder when the holder approaches the coupling target member.
Tool and method for connecting/disconnecting a runner to/from a shaft assembly
The present invention generally relates to an innovative tool for connecting or disconnecting a runner to/from a shaft assembly. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for carrying out such operations using the tool. Advantageously, connecting/disconnecting operations can occur without having to work under a suspended load, as the tool may be activated for supporting the runner remotely from a location outside a runner footprint.
MEMBER SUPPLY DEVICE
A member supply device including: a storage configured to store members; a lower stopper cylinder including a first rod and an upper stopper cylinder including a second rod, the first rod and the second rod being configured to: sandwich at least one of the members stored in the storage; and stop movement of a member above the first rod and a member above the second rod and position the member above the first rod and the member above the second rod; a receiver provided below the storage, the receiver being configured to receive a member that fell from the storage and guide the member to the outside; and a controller configured to alternately advance and retreat the first rod and the second rod in a horizontal direction such that a predetermined number of the members among the members stored in the storage fall to the receiver.
Method of operating fastening apparatus and fastening apparatus
A fastening apparatus includes: a plurality of fastening tools; a first movement mechanism configured to rotate the plurality of fastening tools in a circumferential direction; a second movement mechanism configured to rectilinearly move the plurality of fastening tools in a radial direction; and a third movement mechanism configured to rectilinearly move the plurality of fastening tools in a vertical direction. In particular, the first movement mechanism includes a closed-curve guide unit having a closed-curve shape and configured to define a route along which the plurality of fastening tools rotates in the circumferential direction.
DEVICE FOR BRAKING AND HOLDING A MACHINING ELEMENT
The invention relates to an apparatus for braking and holding a processing element that has a head and that is automatically supplied to a tool. The apparatus has a guide channel for the processing element; and a braking element that is movably supported between a braking position and a release position and that can be at least partly introduced into the guide channel to brake and hold the processing element supplied. A part of the braking element that projects into the guide channel in the braking position and thereby narrows the guide channel has an end face that faces the guide channel and that forms a latch recess for holding the head of the processing element.
Fastening method
This fastening method is a method for fastening a plurality of types of fastening members stored in a cartridge, the cartridge includes a plurality of attachments, the attachment has one end in which a first fitting part that fits to a fastening force receiving part of a corresponding fastening member of the plurality of types of fastening members is formed and another end in which a second fitting part that fits to a fastening force working part of the fastening means is formed, and the cartridge is supplied in a state in which the plurality of types of fastening members and the plurality of attachments are arranged based on the order of fastening the plurality of types of fastening members to the object to be fastened.
