APPLICATION DEVICE, ROBOT, PRODUCTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR JOINING ADHESIVE-TAPE PORTIONS
An application device for joining adhesive-tape sections that includes: a holder assembly having a plurality of holding devices that are movable relative to one another, each holding device configured to hold an adhesive-tape section such that a first main joining surface, a first end joining surface, and a second end joining surface of the adhesive-tape section are exposed; and a plurality of actuators. Further, each of the holding devices is configured for movement between first and second joining configurations. In the first joining configuration, each holding device holds an adhesive-tape section and each of the adhesive-tape sections are spaced apart from one another. In the second joining configuration, each holding device holds an adhesive-tape section wherein the first end joining surface of the adhesive-tape section bears against the second end joining surface of another adhesive-tape section, thus defining a continuous and closed adhesive adhesive-tape web.
Plunger rod and syringe assembly system and method
A machine for coupling a plunger rod to a syringe assembly may include a carriage including a cradle having a seat portion sized to receive a syringe assembly and an aperture portion disposed above the seat portion and sized to receive a plunger rod. An actuating device may be operatively coupled to the carriage and adapted to move the cradle from a first position to a second position to couple the plunger rod to the syringe assembly. The carriage may be selected from separate and interchangeable first and second carriages, wherein the first carriage includes a cradle adapted to receive a syringe assembly of a first size and the second carriage including a cradle sized to receive a syringe assembly of a second size that is different from the first size.
Method and device for determining the elongation and/or compression of a profiled sealing element
A method for determining the elongation and/or compression of a profiled sealing element applied to a body includes drawing the profiled sealing element, which exists as an endless profiled element, from a store and, with the help of an application roller and by means of an adhesive surface present on the profiled sealing element, rolling the profiled sealing element onto the body part along a line intended for the attachment. A measuring roller, which rolls on the profiled sealing element without slip, is arranged at a small distance before a drive system for the profiled sealing element. The length sensed by the measuring roller corresponds to the length of the profiled sealing element applied to the body along an application distance having a defined length.
Installation tool for resiliently-compressible building materials
A tool for installing a resiliently-compressible building component adjacent the end of one or panels which may be incorporated into a system including a substrate. The tool has two arms, in a location where the tool moves from a tool first position to a tool second position at a positioning body rate which is not greater than a rate of expansion of the resiliently-compressible building component. A set of arms be attached to a plurality of adjustable adjacent spaced-apart armatures for multiple points of contact. The tool second position width is at least 105% of the tool first position width and is not more than 150% of the tool first position width.
MOUNTING DEVICE FOR USE IN A STRIP ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT IN A STRIP ASSEMBLY
A mounting device is useable with a strip arrangement comprising a profile strip arrangeable or arranged at an edge area of a window pane of a motor vehicle and comprising a transport protection strip, wherein the transport protection strip is arranged at least with a portion of its cross section in a receiving area of the profile strip. The mounting device has a guide-in area configured to guide a free end of the strip arrangement into the mounting device, and a separation area configured to separate the transport protection strip from the profile strip.
Methods and systems to keep a work piece surface free from liquid accumulation while performing liquid-jet guided laser based material processing
A gas flow can be provided together with a liquid jet guided laser beam to remove accumulated liquid on the processing surface. The gas flow can be configured to have minimum interference with the liquid jet guided laser beam, while functions to blow away liquid generated by the liquid jet. Keeping the surface free from accumulated liquid can improve the efficiency of the liquid jet guided laser processing.
METHOD FOR PREPARING EXTRUDED MATERIAL FOR PROCESSING TO FORM SEALINGS
A method for preparing extruded material for processing to form sealings and/or edge protection strips on vehicle bodies, where the extruded material to be prepared, which is substantially of an elastomer substance, includes a covering strip protecting an adhesive layer and extending in the longitudinal direction of the extruded material. The covering strip has sub-sections that are connected to each other on the abutment ends thereof. The covering strips are detached from the adhesive layer and are reconnected to the adhesive layer, optionally in such a way that they are offset to the longitudinal direction of the extruded material. If the offsetting is carried out, the abutment ends of the sub-sections of the covering strip are arranged such that they are offset in relation to the original position thereof on the adhesive layer.
Apparatus and method for attaching and testing a sleeve with a coupling end to a steel wire
Apparatus for attaching a sleeve comprising a coupling end to a steel wire. The apparatus comprises a pulling end arranged to connect to a sleeve to be attached to a steel wire, a pulling arrangement connected to the pulling end and being configured to pull a sleeve connected to the pulling end, a swaging arrangement comprising two opposed swaging rolls adapted to crimp the sleeve to a close press fit around a loose end of a steel wire. The apparatus further comprises a testing arrangement for testing the strain capacity of the attachment of a sleeve to a steel wire, the testing arrangement including a holding unit configured to effectively hold a portion of the steel wire fixed and allowing the pulling arrangement to pull the sleeve attached to a wire held fixed in the holding unit in order to verify the attachment.
