Template Support for Workpiece

A manufacturing includes a template support and a plurality of template members. The template support comprises a structural member, a first rail, and a second rail. The first rail is coupled to the structural member, and is positioned outward of the first side of the structural member and extends parallel with the structural member. The second rail is movably coupled to the structural member and is normally biased outward to an outward position in which second rail is parallel with the structural member. Each template member is coupled to the template support when the first rail is positioned in a first recess thereof and the second rail is in the outward position in a second recess thereof, and is removable from the template support when the second rail is in an inward position and out of the second recess.

A predetermined height specialized support plate and post structural assembly replaces the plastic injection molded box-shaped structure used in a conventional vacuum support. The support plates interfit and support a conventional rubber vacuum engagement body in a manner similar to but more strengthened than otherwise. Predetermined height is achieved by specifying the length of support posts that stabilize, make handling easier, and may also preferably provide a source of vacuum to oppositely oriented vacuum engagement bodies.

A system for supporting workpieces during machining. The system comprises one or more adjustable workpiece support assemblies and a robotic unit. Each workpiece support assembly comprises a pedestal and a rotatable fixture element. The robotic assembly comprises means of mobilizing and immobilizing each support assembly, so that the fixture element may be secured in a particular orientation. The robotic unit moves along a frame, and manipulates and fixes the position of the fixture elements to match the contour of a workpiece. Vacuum forces may be applied through the workpiece support assemblies to secure the workpiece against the fixture elements.

A carriage is configured to move longitudinally along the bridge. A rotary cutting tool is mounted on the carriage. A work table including a table top having a silicon/epoxy combination material supports a workpiece to be cut by the cutting tool. An actuator moves the rotary cutting tool toward and away from the workpiece positioned on or above the table top and a motor provides rotational motion to the rotary cutting tool.

A jig for supporting a display screen including a platform, a stop and a support is provided. The stop is located on the platform. The support is located at one side of the platform and includes an arcuate surface for supporting the display screen, wherein the display screen is placed on the stop before turning over and is supported by the arcuate surface after turning over. The jig adopts the arcuate surface to contact a surface of a supported object. When turning the supported object over, contact area between the supported object and the arcuate surface can be constantly changed, so that a force exerted on the supported object is even so as to avoid a cracking of the supported object.

Jig apparatus

A jig apparatus includes holding members on which an object to be processed is placed, which members are supported so that they are able to move in a vertical direction. The jig apparatus also includes control unit that controls positions in the vertical direction of the holding members. Control unit causes second holding members, which are selected from among holding members around first holding members on which the object is placed, to be moved to a place in the vertical direction, and to cause the first and second holding members to cooperate in holding the object.

A tooling assembly is provided, for use with a panel defining a tool-side surface and the tool-side surface defining a profile. The tooling assembly includes a base, a plurality of support members fixedly attached to the base, a plurality of frames, and a securing system. The frames each define an upper surface, where each support member is releasably coupled to a corresponding frame by a fastening system. The upper surfaces of the frames are each shaped to correspond with a portion of the profile of the tool-side surface of the panel. The securing system is for providing a suction force configured to releasably secure the panel against the upper surface of the frames.

CARRYING TABLE AND CUTTING METHOD

A carrying table and a cutting method are disclosed. The carrying table includes: a carrying table body including a carrying table surface provided with a plurality of openings; and a plurality of pistons respectively disposed in at least part of openings and configured to conduct reciprocating movement relative to the carrying table surface along side walls of the openings. The carrying table and the cutting method can reduce or eliminate the local deformation of a membrane object to be cut during cutting in the use process, and reduce or avoid the poor processes such as widened cutting line and reduced cutting precision in the cutting process.
