Provided is a machine tool which performs a cutting work on a workpiece, in which holes are provided at three or more points in a circumferential direction of a jig in the vicinity of a point at which the jig comes into contact with the workpiece when the workpiece is placed on the jig, and the workpiece is moved toward a rotation center of the jig by blowing air from an air supply unit toward the workpiece through the holes.

Device for compensating offset in automatic locking systems
09863456 · 2018-01-09 ·

A device for compensating the offset in automatic locking systems for the mounting of blanks comprising a box-like body composed of a T-shaped hollow body and a U-shaped base, which form an inner seat for a frustum-shaped jacket, which is arranged coaxially to the shank of the hollow body and above a piston, which can move transversely to the shank, a traction element being slideably arrangeable in the shank of the hollow body, the traction element cooperating selectively with balls which can be accommodated within openings provided in the shank and within second seats provided on the jacket, elastically compressible elements being arranged between the head of the hollow body and the jacket.

Machining Fixture
20170209970 · 2017-07-27 · ·

A machining fixture, comprising a base, an air cylinder, an air cylinder piston and connecting rod, a supporting guide sleeve, a sliding supporting seat, a thrust ball bearing holder and spherical bead, a floating platform, a first connecting screw, a compression block, a pin shaft, a push rod pin, a second connecting screw, a center positioning shaft, a third connecting screw, a guide sleeve, a supporting plate, an oil cylinder piston and connecting rod and a one-way oil cylinder. The floating centering self-clamping machining fixture is for machining flange-type, which improves positioning accuracy and machining precision. The fixture has an automatic returning floating platform, achieving the automatic alignment of the parts; after the alignment, a floating support moves down and is changed to a rigid support, improving stability; and a positioning rod continues to move down, such that a workpiece is automatically clamped by an ejector rod oscillating arm mechanism.

Locking Centering Mechanism
20170190010 · 2017-07-06 ·

A centering mechanism for retaining an object, wherein the centering mechanism has a locking mechanism, having at least a first tangential surface. Furthermore, the centering mechanism can be used in conjunction with a mechanism for retaining an electronic device or an electronic device in a case. The structure of the centering mechanism and the locking mechanism allows for the locking mechanism to further actuate and lock the centering mechanism, such that an object retained therein is secured and aligned.

Automated apparatus for use in selectively installing temporary fasteners in an assembly

An automated apparatus for use in selectively installing temporary fasteners in an assembly is provided. The apparatus includes an end effector, a cutting mechanism coupled to the end effector and that forms an opening in the assembly when a potential opening location is substantially aligned with a cutting mechanism center point. The apparatus also includes at least one of a first sub-assembly and a second sub-assembly coupled to the end effector. The first sub-assembly includes a temporary fastener insertion mechanism that inserts a temporary fastener through the opening in the assembly when the opening is substantially aligned with an insertion mechanism center point different from the cutting mechanism center point. The second sub-assembly includes a temporary fastener removal mechanism that removes installed temporary fasteners from the assembly when the installed temporary fastener is substantially aligned with a removal mechanism center point different from the cutting mechanism center point.

POSITIONING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
20170129021 · 2017-05-11 ·

A method for positioning a rotary part on a machining fixture adapted to hold the rotary part for a machining operation is described. The machining fixture has a center axis and a diaphragm with engaging segments affixed thereto and extending away therefrom. The method includes mounting the rotary part on the machining fixture concentrically about the center axis and adjacent to the engaging segments, and then applying an axial force in a direction substantially parallel to the center axis against the diaphragm. This elastically deforms the diaphragm and radially displaces the contact members of the engaging segments into frictional engagement with a circumferential surface of the rotary part.
